Many designers use wallpaper as modern look decoration of residential premises. They there are very different. But there is wallpaper that is not like other types - this is paintable wallpaper.
Among them, the most common option is non-woven wallpaper. Actually exists three types of paintable wallpaper:
- Paper. They are suitable for any surface. They have a two-layer, dense base. An advantageous property is a sufficient level of moisture resistance, even after several layers of paint. Most often, they do not have a texture, and their monotony is ideal for pasting ceilings;
- Non-woven. The most common type of wallpaper for painting. They are the densest, and their non-woven, elastic base does not allow the wallpaper to wrinkle. A variety of textures and relief elements are applied to this type of wallpaper using stencils in the factory. They have an excellent aesthetic appearance;
- Paintable glass wallpaper. The base of this type of wallpaper consists of many fiberglass threads (made from quartz sand, dolomite, soda, lime). During the production process, a mixture of the above composition is applied to the paper base.
Thus, we get very beautiful ornaments with relief structures and patterns.
The choice of wallpaper for painting is very large. Required initially determine the number of rolls. To do this you need to know the parameters of the room. Having this information, determining the number of wallpapers will not be difficult.

If your budget allows, you can purchase the most expensive fiberglass wallpaper. They are best textured with a combination of various patterns, shapes, images, as well as have a number of valuable properties:
- Aesthetic decorative look . Thanks to production technology and special spraying of the top layer, these wallpapers will give the room originality and uniqueness;
- If on the walls there are minor flaws, glass wallpaper readily levels them out;
- Despite the density of the base, they easy to process and paste;
- May also have smooth surface;
- Over time do not lose shape, do not fade, leaving the original color, which can be updated when using a color emulsion.
As for other types of paintable wallpaper, you can choose other paper or non-woven ones. This cheaper and more common options.
