But there are some subtleties here.

The approach to the work area must be free. By sanitary standards the distance from the table top to the nearest furniture is at least 50 cm (side shelves and cabinets adjacent to the table are not taken into account).
The normal height of the tabletop ranges from 70 to 80 cm; if the window sill fits within these parameters, then you can order an enlarged version of the window sill and use it as a table.
