drainage capacity. Drainage plastic wells: pros and cons, types of containers and installation features

Underground drainage tanks are used for temporary storage and collection of petroleum products at enterprises of the oil and gas and coke industries, as a tank for draining fuel from technological systems, for storage gas condensate, for draining the remains of various aggressive liquids (petroleum, oil, diesel fuel, transformer oil, gasoline, alkalis, acids, sewage, etc.). It should be noted that they are not used for draining LPG liquefied hydrocarbon gases.

Performance characteristics of drainage tanks

There are several requirements for the stored product and conditions at the facility:

  • the temperature of the stored liquid must be in the range from -15°С to + 80°С
  • kinematic viscosity of the liquid 30x10-6 m 2 / s
  • density of the working product - no more than 1000 kg / m 3
  • hazard class of working media 2, 3, 4 (see GOST 12.1.007-76)
  • the content of H 2 S should not exceed 1.8%
  • liquid explosion category and group - IIA-T3, IIB-T3 (see GOST 12.1.011-78)
  • minimum temperature environment should not exceed -60°С

The underground location of the EP/EPP reduces the risk of the stored product being released into the environment.

Construction of underground drainage tanks

Structurally, they are a hollow all-welded vessel operating under a pressure of not more than 0.07 MPa, with a volume of 1 m 3 to 200 m 3, consisting of a metal cylinder and conical bottoms. For technological maintenance, two hatches are installed on the upper side of the shell: one for draining the stored product, the second for gaining access inside for preventive examination, technological maintenance and repair (cleaning, blowing, washing). The discharge of the stored product is carried out using a semi-submersible pump.

The hull material must be resistant to the negative effects of the soil to prevent corrosion, chemical and physical changes. For this on outside a waterproofing coating is applied, made of bitumen-polymer mastics.

Saratov Reservoir Plant manufactures two types of underground drainage tanks:

  • EP without heater
  • EPP with heater for areas where the ambient temperature is below the freezing point of the liquid

The EPP tank body is heated by a metal coil in the form of pipes inside the shell, in which (pipes) the steam-water mixture circulates, or by a heating cable.

Production of underground drainage tanks

The Saratov Reservoir Plant has the EP and EPP necessary for the production of underground drainage tanks.

In addition, during the manufacture and installation, our specialists are guided by the following regulatory documents:

  • GOST R 34347-2017 "Steel welded vessels and apparatus. General specifications"
  • PB 03-584-03 "Rules for the design, manufacture and acceptance of steel welded vessels and apparatus"
  • Rules industrial safety hazardous production facilities that use pressurized equipment
  • STO 00220227-005-2009 "Steel welded vessels and apparatus high pressure. General technical requirements»

All underground drainage tanks are made from the following steel grades depending on the operating conditions:

  • St3sp for operation at temperatures up to -20°С
  • 09G2S-9 for operation at temperatures not exceeding -40°C
  • 09G2S-8 for areas where the average five-day temperature is below -40°С

Depending on the temperature of the operating area, the following designs drainage tanks:

  • version 1 - design ambient temperature of the coldest five-day period is below -20°С
  • execution 2 - temperature up to -40°С
  • version 3 - operating temperature up to -60°С

Depending on climatic conditions, all drainage tanks are produced in three climatic versions:

  • HL 1 for use in cold climates
  • UHL 1 for temperate climates
  • T1 - for tropical climate

For reliable operation, the design process provides for waterproofing and thermal insulation.

Technological piping of underground drainage tanks

At the construction site, all vessels are connected to the pipeline, which, on the one hand, goes to the drain filter of the pipe, and on the other hand, to the pump installed in one of the necks, or falls below the level of the so-called "dead residue", thereby creating a hydraulic seal that prevents spark formation during loading and unloading operations.

For reliable and safe use, EP/EPP tanks are provided with branch pipes and fittings for installing control and measuring and other equipment, for example, a thermometer, pressure gauge, devices for determining the amount of product (level gauges), a thermoelectric converter, devices for automatically stopping the supply or pumping out the product, alarm systems, shut-off and control valves.

The necessary equipment for loading and unloading operations are pumps and pumping units of various types and types, which facilitate technological processes. The pumps are manufactured in an explosion-proof and corrosion-resistant design with double sealing to reduce the risk of flames and exposure to the working environment.

Installation of pumps is possible at four levels: 3 m, 3.2 m, 3.7 m, 3.9 m.

At the request of the Customer, the pump can be installed in a concrete or metal well, which will protect the pump from the negative effects of the working product.

Tanks EP/EPP are delivered assembled. Only manholes and pipes longer than 1 m are transported separately. They (manholes and branch pipes) are cut off at a level of 0.4 m from the edge of the shell.

The height of the necks for routine maintenance and installation of pumps depends on the depth of the hull immersion in the ground.

All manufactured products are supplied with a passport, passed quality control and acceptance, certified by regulatory authorities.

Calculation, manufacture and supply of underground drainage tanks is carried out on the basis of the Questionnaire or the Customer's Terms of Reference.

Our equipment is installed at enterprises in many cities Russian Federation(Moscow, Tomsk, Ufa, Kazan, Novy Urengoy, Usinsk, etc.).

Underground tanks: scope

The scope of underground tanks for petroleum products is extremely wide, as the tanks are suitable for storing very aggressive substances. Structures withstand pressure drops and maintain their integrity under different conditions. temperature conditions. High performance characteristics underground tanks are explained by high-quality raw materials, as well as special technology manufacturing, which takes into account any little things: the features of the enterprise where the containers will be mounted, climatic conditions, intensity of operation, the estimated volumes of the substance that will fill the container, and much more. Taking into account these characteristics, as well as customer requirements, we manufacture high-quality underground tanks for oil products of various geometric shapes and sizes.

Tanks are versatile and are actively used not only in the petrochemical industry and metallurgy, but also in agriculture, structures are installed within the framework of large agricultural complexes.

Many large oil companies specializing in field development, production and sale of oil cooperate with us and purchase equipment at very competitive prices. We have established the production of large-sized drainage tanks, which are suitable for transporting petrochemicals over long distances. We mainly produce vertical type drainage tanks. They are easy to install, and their volume is approximately five cubic meters.

Our tanks are good in that one-piece durable structures are designed in such a way that fuel leakage is almost completely eliminated, because the equipment is very tight. Many tanks have thick double walls, a double bottom, and the space between the surfaces is filled with either liquid or gas. In addition, in the production of drainage tanks, the equipment is equipped with a pressure gauge, with which the pressure level can be easily controlled.

Design features of underground tanks

Underground tanks are horizontal cylindrical tanks, which have conical bottoms and a pair of hatches designed to drain substances. In addition, through the hatches, the process of cleaning the inside of the tank is carried out.

The production of tanks for the storage of petroleum products is our core business, therefore, if you need high-quality all-welded devices, then you can safely contact us, as we manufacture structures in any configuration and in any quantity.

We can supplement underground tanks with various accessories: nozzles, built-in heaters, concrete or metal wells, pumps, etc. These devices help protect the engine from negative impacts: mechanical damage, precipitation, etc.

In some cases, drainage tanks for storing petroleum products can be equipped with means for heating, as a rule, this is necessary to maintain the temperature at which one or another substance is supposed to be stored. A cable or a coil is connected to the device, thanks to which liquid substances heated with steam or water mixture.

There are two types of construction:
  • EP - underground tanks without heating;
  • EPP - underground heated tanks.

The production of storage tanks for petroleum products provides for the installation of thermal insulation to prevent heat dissipation into the external environment.

Underground tanks for oil products are designed taking into account the physical and chemical properties of the substances that will be stored in the vessels. Therefore, many designs have electric pump units, and the devices themselves are made strictly in a vertical position. Depending on the properties of the pumped medium, the tanks are equipped with:

  • electric pump unit, type HB 50/50 - for containers not subject to heat treatment;
  • electric pump unit AHPO-E 45/54-K-2G - for tanks subject to heat treatment.

We produce drainage tanks of any level of complexity, in any configuration. If you find it difficult to draw up a technical task, then we can help you draw up an individual project, which will take into account the features of your enterprise.

The most popular drainage tanks for storing petroleum products are made of steel. Robust welded constructions provide safe storage of liquid and gaseous substances in any climatic and temperature conditions.

The drainage well is an important part of drainage. Now they prefer plastic products. Such PVC containers are most often used for system revision and waste collection.

But there are other areas of application, and hence varieties that differ somewhat from each other in their design. But only right choice type of container will allow you to fully appreciate all the advantages of this product.

For several years now, plastic products have been at the forefront of water supply and sanitation, including stormwater and drainage systems. This is determined by a whole range of positive qualities of plastic products.

  1. One of the main advantages is relatively light weight. Installation and transportation does not require the use of special equipment and the organization of an entrance to the installation site. The container is very easy to install by 2-3 people.
  2. Plastic is a sealed material that is not subject to corrosion. The service life of such products is about 50 years, and no maintenance is required.
  3. Resistant to aggressive media and low temperatures.
  4. High-quality PVC does not release toxic substances into the soil, therefore, drainage containers from it will not harm the ecological condition of the site.

AT lightweight plastic products lies and its flaw: such capacity can easily float in waterlogged soil. But this problem can be overcome with concrete base, which settles down at the bottom of the pit and to which the well itself is attached.

Another commonly cited disadvantage is high price . But if you remember that when installing a plastic tank, there is no need to hire special equipment, and the service life is several decades, it becomes clear that the cost will quickly pay off.

Varieties of drainage wells according to their functions

When arranging the drainage system, several types of tanks can be used, which differ from each other in their function and have design features.

  1. Manholes have a hard bottom, they are necessary for revision and cleaning of the drainage system. They are installed every 20-30 meters on a straight pipeline and on pipe bends. Therefore, they often perform the role of rotary, which is facilitated by the presence of several inlet pipes located at different angles. At least 2 pipelines enter such a container. Unused openings are hermetically sealed with special plugs.
  2. Storage tanks designed to collect water and are installed at the end of the drainage system. These are completely sealed tanks, into which drainage pumps are sometimes released to empty the tank. The water accumulated in the tank can be used for technical needs. Drainage tanks are recommended to be equipped with silt inlets, so the pipes enter the tank at a height of at least 15 cm from the bottom. The inlet pipe is equipped with a valve that prevents the reverse flow of water into the system.
  3. storage tanks connected in some cases with an absorption well, which has no bottom. This is a variant of soil filtration. A filter is installed at the bottom of the tank.
  4. In regions where at least seasonally there is excessive saturation of the soil with groundwater or atmospheric water, in some places there is an overflow of pipes and an increase in pressure in the drainage. To combat this phenomenon in particularly difficult places, install expander wells, which quench the fluid pressure in the system. The principle of operation is that water and a narrow pipeline under natural pressure enters a large reservoir. Due to this, as well as the presence of special energy-damping structures inside the tank, the flow rate and pressure in the network drops.
  5. In places where pipelines run at different depths, install drop wells. Such containers are needed where there is a large difference in the height of the relief. The pipes in them are located on different levels. In some cases, such containers are used as a collector, which is connected to a pipeline that evacuates the water collected from the site into a reservoir, ravine, etc.
  6. Storm wells applied in storm systems, which differ from drainage primarily in the depth of passage of the gutters. A drainage well is also used in the storm drain.

Ready-made drainage wells differ not only in their functions, but also in their design features.

Classification of underground drainage tanks by type of construction

On this basis, finished PVC tanks are divided into 2 categories.

Prefabricated wells consist of several elements that are connected to each other before installation:

  • main tray with nozzles;
  • shaft, which can be a corrugated or smooth pipe;
  • two sealing rings for connecting the body (shaft) of the well with a neck or tray;
  • necks;
  • plastic cover;
  • extension cable, the length of which may vary depending on the depth of installation.

Such tanks are more versatile, since the length of the shaft can be adjusted depending on the depth, but they are more expensive. It is important to take into account that with an increase in length, the resistance of the container body to compression decreases.

Monolithic tanks more durable and cheaper, but have standard height, therefore, are designed for installation at a certain depth. True, the additional installation of the neck allows them to be deepened a little. Drop and expansion tanks are produced only in this form.

Monolithic and prefabricated products are produced both in Russia and abroad.

Firms producing plastic wells for drainage, and approximate prices

There are a lot of companies providing plastic tanks for the drainage system to the Russian market. And this number is constantly growing. However, the market is dominated by 2 firms that are most popular with consumers.

"Polyplastic"

It is one of the leaders among Russian manufacturers plastic products. The company produces a full range of wells used in drainage systems Oh. The range includes welded containers. Their tray versions can be used for installation on bends, pipeline crossings and for system revision. Trayless products can be used as storage tanks.

The company produces drop tanks, storm water wells, as well as prefabricated tanks of various diameters. The cost of a welded well shaft is about 1,700 rubles per meter for a tank with a diameter of 40 cm, a tray of this size costs from 2,300 rubles, and a telescopic neck from 6,000 rubles.

Review: I purchased Polyplatic products for the revision of the drainage system. There are no problems in the collection, during operation, too. Satisfied. The only negative is that during the selection process I could not find the price, which is important for product monitoring.

This European company is a leader in the production of plastic products for sewerage, including drainage systems, produces prefabricated wells with a diameter of 315, 425, as well as larger models Wavin Tegra 600 and 1000. All of them consist of a corrugated shaft, a telescopic neck, a manhole and a tray with branch pipes.

The price for a shaft with a diameter of 425 mm ranges from 7,000 to 21,000 rubles, depending on the length. A tray of this type can cost at least 5,000 rubles.

Review: The well of Vavin company has been serving for more than 5 years. We are very pleased with the quality, the tank withstood temperature changes without problems. True, the prices bite.

Device and installation features

You can install a plastic drainage well on the site without specialists. For installation, you will need 1-2 assistants, mainly to release the container to the bottom. But before that preparatory work needs to be done.

With a monolithic product, everything is simpler, it is almost ready for installation. collapsible finished products must be assembled according to the instructions. And if you decide to make a tank from a large diameter pipe, then first you need to cut it to the required length.

AT finished goods holes for pipes are often already there, and in a home-made one, they are pre-cut in accordance with the diameter of the drains. Insert into holes rubber seals and plastic sleeves. All seals are lubricated with sealant to prevent leakage.

After that, they begin to dig and prepare the pit, taking into account several parameters:

  1. Depth should be such that the pipe entry points pass below the freezing point of the soil, and the bottom of the tank is at least half a meter above the level ground water.
  2. You also need to consider that at the bottom of the pit will be filled up crushed stone pillow 15-20 cm high.
  3. Pit width- 40-60 cm more than the diameter of the container.
  4. Luke after that it will have to rise 10-15 cm above the ground.

After the pit is dug, its bottom is leveled, and then they fall asleep and level the crushed stone pillow.

If the area is characterized by a seasonal rise in groundwater, then an additional cement base must be poured onto the bottom.

After the cement has hardened, you can install:

  1. The tank is released to the bottom.
  2. Use a level to check if the container is level.
  3. Connect the pipes for the drainage well to the nozzles. Be sure to treat all joints with sealant.
  4. Backfill the tank sand and gravel mix. Do this in layers, each layer is carefully rammed.
  5. Install plastic cover(Luke).

This completes the installation. If necessary, a drainage pump is released into the collector.

Material design of underground tanks

The choice of material in the manufacture of underground capacitive equipment is determined by external operating temperature conditions.

In addition, a stainless steel container can be ordered.

In particular, we have accumulated rich experience in the manufacture of vessels from steel grade 12X18H10T, approved for use in food products.

If you need to replace an imported tank, our designers, taking into account your recommendations for equipment modernization, will prepare an appropriate project with a change construction materials and accessories.

Tanks up to 63 cu. m are made of steel sheet with a thickness of 8 mm, and a volume of 63 to 100 cubic meters. m - from a sheet of 10 mm.

The outer surfaces of the hull elements of the vessels are treated with anti-corrosion compounds: rubber-bitumen mastic, polymer or epoxy materials.

The internal surfaces of the collectors can be coated with various compositions: zinc-rich compositions, petrol-resistant enamels or other materials.

Production of containers according to individual projects

Our design office can design any container according to your needs. terms of reference, under certain production, technological and regulatory conditions.

Vessels will comply with all applicable standards, both in terms of reliability and safe operation. All will be produced necessary calculations strength, taking into account acting loads, including seismic and dynamic.

You can order an underground steel tank at your own individual project. In the design bureau of the plant, we will adapt your project to our technological capabilities, of course, in agreement with you.

We design capacitive metal equipment for liquids with increased viscosity and density, with high internal pressure or under vacuum. The special requirements imposed by the supervisory authorities on tanks, vessels, tanks, cisterns and apparatuses, including those for the storage of hazardous waste, will be taken into account.

Ordered metal containers can be equipped with level and pressure sensors, safety valves, liquid filling and pumping control system.

Underground tanks can be crafted with necessary quantity necks, hatches and fittings. If necessary, piping will be made for the communication device with other equipment available at your production.

You can order us the design and manufacture of a complex of tanks and other equipment for technological lines processing of liquid media.

Tanks can be equipped with clamps, eye bolts and other devices for fastening to the foundation.

Underground metal tanks

Underground metal tanks are used in many industries, both in the main production and in auxiliary and service shops. So, they are widely used at petrochemical enterprises for storing oil and oil products, at gas stations - for fuel.

In agriculture, they store liquid mineral fertilizers, animal waste, irrigation water.

In the last decade, underground steel tanks have found application in suburban construction, as septic tanks for collecting and disinfecting sewage.

Vessels buried in the ground allow you to save space, both in the production and in the housing sector. Such tanks do not require expensive support structures, which is especially important under wind and seismic loads. Underground steel tanks, manufactured according to current standards, do not require special design solutions for possible earthquakes up to 7 points on the Richter scale.

The use of metal underground storages makes it possible to meet the requirements of environmental legislation and preserve the natural landscape.

In their design and manufacture, modern ways protection against the aggressive effects of the internal and external environment, groundwater, stray currents.

Life Extension of Underground Steel Tanks

For long-term service of capacitive equipment of this type, their inner and outer surfaces must be covered with high-quality anti-corrosion materials. Our company, when carrying out work on applying an anti-corrosion coating to the walls of drainage capacitive devices buried in the ground, is guided by the interstate standard GOST 9.602-2005 "Unified system of protection against corrosion and aging". This set of measures applies to metal structures and underground structures, and the sixth section of this standard defines specific rules for the selection of protective material.

From the list of proposed “reinforced type” coatings, one can single out the sixth three-layer number (the first layer is a primer, the second is polymer-bitumen tape materials with a thickness of more than two millimeters, the third is a wrapper that serves to protect the main tape layer from mechanical damage).

In the subsection "protective coatings of a reinforced type" under the thirteenth number, a coating is indicated, which is, in fact, an ordinary mastic followed by a wrapper, but its total thickness must be greater than or equal to eight millimeters.

As a rule, zinc-containing compositions are used for anti-corrosion treatment of the internal surfaces of drainage vessels, which to some extent replace hot-dip galvanizing. Such coatings are resistant to oil products, salt and water solutions, and can be used in household and drinking enterprises. If it is necessary to store aggressive media in a metal vessel (for example, alkaline or acid solutions), then it is recommended to apply a gumming or lining coating on the inner surfaces of its walls, which is covered by a guarantee for up to ten years.

In addition to the anti-corrosion coating, the wall thickness provides a significant service life of the tank equipment. By default, our technologists set a wall thickness of 8 mm, but according to the terms of reference, it can be increased to 10-12 mm, or reduced to 6. But in this case, the container body must be reinforced with special diaphragms, placing them every two meters along the entire length of the shell.

Transportation of steel drainage tanks

Metal containers of large volumes are large-sized structures, the transportation of which requires a specialized automobile transport. If the tank has a diameter of no more than two meters, and the neck height is within one meter, then for its transportation you will need a truck tractor with a low-bed semi-trailer. In this case, you do not need to issue a permit for the transportation of bulky and heavy cargo.

Underground steel tanks with a body diameter exceeding 2.5 meters are transported by special vehicles with a special permit issued by the state road service.

We organize, with the receipt of all required permits, and carry out transportation of capacitive equipment of any size.

The procedure for carrying out installation work

When the diameter of the drainage tank body exceeds 2.4 meters, the necks and branch pipes are not welded at the factory, but are delivered to the installation site in a separate package. Then, with the help of special devices and equipment, these elements and hatch shells are joined and welded to the tank body directly during installation.

The state industry standard 52630-2012 prohibits flange connections of the main elements of the vessel, which will later be covered with earth, since it will be impossible to maintain them, namely, to monitor the condition of fasteners and replace worn gaskets. An exception is capacitive devices that are not covered with soil, but are installed below ground level on the foundation and closed reinforced concrete slab(on the main parts of such vessels it is allowed to make flange connectors). The option of only formworking the mouths is too costly. It is cheaper to involve an installation organization that will install the nozzles and independently test the welded joints made by it.
