"Teploknauf" - insulation for roofs and walls: technical characteristics. KNAUF Insulation - materials for professionals. For professional use

Today no one will remember how long mineral wool has been used to insulate houses and buildings for various purposes. This material is also called stone wool and is offered today by many manufacturers. This thermal insulation is one of the most reliable, which is why it has lasted so long on the market. For several decades, the material did not give up its positions.

Which manufacturer's cotton wool should I choose?

About high quality mineral wool It also says that it remains popular, despite the fact that innovative solutions for thermal insulation are entering the market today. Having familiarized yourself with the market of modern building materials, you will be able to understand that the products of the Knauf company occupy a fairly large share of it. This supplier produces mineral wool, the technical characteristics of which will be discussed below. If you also decide to purchase the material described, you should also read the reviews. They will definitely help you do right choice.

Description of the Knauf brand

Mineral wool “Knauf” is also called and is made, no matter how funny it may sound, from stones. This material is also called basalt wool, the production of which uses stones of lava origin. They are melted down and then added to them. Fibers are formed into rolls or solid slabs.

Can be manufactured according to different technologies using different materials. The production process affects technical specifications basalt and mineral wool. Traditional mineral wool is good, but can be susceptible to moisture, dust and be harmful. All these troubles were overcome within the framework modern production. As a result, it is possible to obtain almost perfect insulation.

Knauf mineral wool is produced without the use of formaldehyde and phenolic resins. Almost all negative reviews about the dangers of mineral wool were previously aimed precisely at the fact that when exposed to high temperatures the material begins to emit phenol fumes, which are quite toxic.

The material described does not contain harmful resins, and therefore no harmful fumes. The same can be said about the ability to emit dust. It negatively affects a person's lungs and irritates the skin. However, most often mineral wool does not generate dust. This characteristic is characteristic of glass wool. However, if the mineral wool fibers are poorly formed, they can break, which causes the release of dust.

Specifications

The thermal insulation described in the article quite easily copes with the effects of temperature changes. It does not burn and is not permanently deformed. If you decide to purchase this thermal insulation, you should inquire about thermal conductivity. For mineral wool, this parameter varies from 0.035 to 0.4 W/m. This indicates a low level of heat transfer. As practice shows, cotton wool does not transfer heat. It cannot cope except with thermal radiation, but for this purpose other insulation materials can be used, which can also be combined with mineral wool.

Mineral wool "Knauf", the characteristics of which you should study before purchasing this insulation, has low water absorption. Of the total volume, the amount of water can be approximately 2%. If we translate this value into simple language, then after the slab is in water for several days, it will absorb only a few percent of the liquid compared to the total volume of the material. This indicator is insignificant, which allowed mineral wool to stand on a par with polystyrene foam. With all this, the thermal insulation remains vapor permeable.

Knauf mineral wool, the technical characteristics of which are presented in the article, does not burn or heat up. It can only become charred, but only when directly exposed to fire. It is also important to pay attention to density. This parameter may vary. There are several varieties of branded insulation on sale.

Technical characteristics of mineral wool "Teploknauf Cottage Plus"

Thermal insulation “Cottage Plus” from the Knauf company is offered for sale in the form of slabs. Their thickness is 10 cm, and the thermal conductivity is 0.037 W/m*0C, which is true at 10°C. This one has an airborne noise insulation index of 45 RW (W). The length and width of the material are 6148 mm and 1220 mm, respectively.

Technical characteristics of Acoustic mineral wool

This mineral wool "Knauf", the price of which is 1600 rubles. for cubic meter, used for thermal insulation of communications. The material is quite flexible, which ensures a tight fit and eliminates the formation of Acoustic Knauf mineral wool is capable of maintaining its original shape for a long time, which guarantees high level soundproofing.

This material is characterized increased level elasticity. This allows you to reduce the level of impact and sound noise by up to 1.5 times. Installation of this thermal insulation can be carried out in ceilings and partitions, as well as suspended ceilings.

Reviews of varieties of Knauf mineral wool

Mineral wool materials from the manufacturer Knauf can be divided into two lines:

  • Insulation;
  • "TeploKnauf"

Each of them is used to solve specific problems and was developed for their implementation. Consumers love the Iinsulation line because it is of exceptional quality. This material, according to buyers, is professional and quite expensive, but has one important advantage - versatility. According to home craftsmen, it is convenient to lay it on a large scale when there is a need to process multiple areas.

The Insulation line has excellent characteristics and is durable. This type of mineral wool can protect a home for several decades. The manufacturer itself provides a forty-year warranty. This does not mean that after this period there will be nothing left of the slab. It will be ready to serve for a longer period, but only on the condition that the cotton wool has been used under normal conditions.

Mineral wool "Knauf", reviews of which should help you make the right choice, is also offered for sale in the "Teploknauf" line. Consumers like that this insulation is simpler and can be used for domestic purposes. With its help, consumers finish country houses and small cottages.

Using mineral wool as thermal insulation

Insulation with Knauf mineral wool is carried out by home craftsmen themselves. This material can be used for thermal insulation of the facade. The work may be based on wet-type technology, which combines facade insulation and decorative plaster. This technique is actively used in places with cold climates.

The wall materials can be:

  • concrete;
  • wood;
  • brick.

Quite often used as plaster different types compositions. Mineral wool is placed under a decorative wet layer, which makes the structure stronger and helps save money on heating. Plaster can be:

  • mineral based;
  • silicate;
  • acrylic;
  • silicone.

After drying, the layer can be painted in any color using facade paint.

Insulation technology

At the first stage, the facade is cleaned and freed from unnecessary elements. There should be no metal pins on the wall, as they will become rusty. If it is not possible to get rid of metal, then decorative plaster should not be used to decorate the house. Before installing mineral wool on the walls, profiles should be installed. It is important to ensure that the planks are securely fastened. Using special glue, mineral wool is installed on the surface. The thermal insulation should additionally be covered with a reinforced layer, which will prevent deformation of the insulating materials. Using a spatula, an adhesive layer is applied to the surface, onto which a reinforced mesh is attached.

Conclusion

Knauf mineral wool is made with high quality, so craftsmen will not feel any dust when working with it. There is no need to additionally protect the layer of such thermal insulation. Previously, consumers sometimes refused to purchase mineral wool rolls for another reason that they absorbed water in large quantities. However, these negative characteristics were eliminated over time. Today, during the production process, water repellents are added to the fibers, which can repel water. That is why Knauf mineral wool receives only positive reviews.

Thermal insulation materials from the German company Knauf offer a wide range of products, including mineral wool. The components that make up Knauf insulation are only natural, therefore the insulation itself is considered environmentally friendly. In addition to this obvious advantage, knauf insulation has many other advantages over the line of thermal insulation materials produced by the global industry.

Properties and characteristics of Knauf heat insulator

  1. The heat conductivity index possessed by Knauf Expert insulation and its other varieties is 0.030-0.052 W/m K, that is, with strong winds and frost, a layer of thermal insulation reliably protects the insulated surface from cooling and heat loss. Any building can be insulated: it can be a low-rise cottage, a one-story private house or multi-story high-rise;
  2. The noise absorption of Knauf mineral wool insulation has indicators of 41-60 dB, according to sound absorption classes, the insulation is divided into categories I, II and III, in each category there is a division into subcategories - suppression of low frequencies (H), absorption of medium frequencies (C), and absorption of high frequencies frequencies (V). Class I insulation has a parameter a (sound absorption coefficient) ≥ 0.8, classes II and III (categories) - ≥ 0.2-0.8;
  3. Fire safety according to flammability class NG (non-combustible material);
  4. Chemical and biological passivity, anti-allergenicity, which Knauf insulation possesses, allows them to be installed in any premises - from children's rooms to production areas. Thermal insulation does not interact with acids and alkalis, and is not damaged by rodents and insects;
  5. Mineral Knauf thermal insulation is made only from natural natural materials, therefore it does not have unpleasant and synthetic odors;
  6. High mechanical stability to compression or bending forces makes it possible not only to conveniently store and transport Knauf roll insulation, but also to mount it on geometrically complex surfaces. After compression, the cotton wool quickly straightens, taking its original shape;
  7. The small specific gravity (density) of mineral wool is 35-40 kg/m3, therefore, when laying even thick layers, the insulation does not shrink or compress over time;
  8. Installation of insulation is simple - fastening to a frame or tightly laying in confined space, while the minimum service life without replacement is more than 50 years;
  9. Savings on heating energy consumption when insulating a house with Teploknauf mineral wool – up to 200%;

Of the negative aspects, only one deserves attention - the comparative high cost of the material in comparison with other thermal insulation materials of domestic and foreign production. Another easily eliminated drawback is the release of glass fiber microparticles into the air during the installation of the insulation layer, so it is necessary to work with Teploknauf using satellites ( individual means protection).

The production of insulation is carried out in two main areas: the Knauf Insulation brand and TeploKnauf. The latter is more often used in individual construction, the Knauf Insulation brand is used in the industrial sector.

HeatKnauf in individual housing construction

Natural insulation Teploknauf Cottage and Teploknauf Cottage Plus have a three-layer structure, therefore the protection of the premises occurs in three directions: from loud sounds, from humid and cold air. Teploknauf insulation serves to protect the surfaces of walls, ceilings and floors, roofs and attics, basements and foundations. At retail and wholesale, Knauf thermal insulation is delivered in rolls or in slabs with a sheet (slab) thickness of 50 mm, a length of 1230 mm and a product width of 610 mm. Rolled heating knauf has a length of 6148 mm and a width of 1220 mm. “TeploKNAUF Cottage+” insulation is available only in the form of slabs 100 mm thick with other parameters similar to those of TeploKNAUF insulation.

Thermal insulation HeatKNAUF Home and HeatKNAUF Home+

Multi-profile insulation teploknauf house is produced according to the innovative “3D-elasticity” technology, and the impressive parameters of this insulating material are shown in the table below. The ability of the insulation to adhere so tightly to the insulated surface does not give the slightest opportunity for “cold bridges” to appear. The advantage of the TeploKNAUF House material, which is produced twice as thick (not 50, but 100 mm), is the saving of thermal insulation on any surface. The product is available in the form of plates and rolls.

Teploknauf Dacha

This insulation material is produced in rolls, which makes it more convenient and much faster to insulate large areas, for example, the ceiling in the attic or roofing surfaces, floors and floors in the basement. In individual construction, it is often used for insulating outbuildings and superstructures - sheds, attics, verandas, terraces, pavilions, etc.

Insulation KNAUF Insulation

Knauf Insulation Thermo Plate-037. From the name it is clear that this insulation is produced in slabs; a description of the characteristics of the material is given below. The insulation is designed to protect pitched roofing surfaces, walls, ceilings, floor joists, partitions, inclined surfaces internal structures Houses. Except high performance In terms of thermal insulation, Thermo Plate-037 blocks noise well. To fasten the plates use metal, wooden frame or an enclosed space, for example, between beams or joists of partitions.

KNAUF Insulation Thermo Roll 040 goes on sale in mats, rolled into rolls, placed in sealed packaging. The material is intended for thermal insulation of roofing and other horizontal surfaces, to which a large load is not applied. In addition to roofs, you can insulate the floor in the attic or attic, interfloor ceilings, floors on joists, floors in the basement, etc.

KNAUF Insulation “Acoustic Partition” is available for retail and wholesale sales in the form of slabs and mats of large thickness. The material has one feature - increased elasticity, which is achieved by using special technology, which also improves noise reduction properties. All main parameters and characteristics of the insulating material are listed in the table below. Recommended for use on any frame and sheathing surfaces, installed using the “dry construction” method. allows its use in children's and medical institutions.

Brand Knauf insulation Insulation “Pitched Roof” is manufactured using the “Aquastatik” method, which makes the material absolutely moisture-proof. The heat insulator is produced in the form of mats or slabs, recommended for use on pitched roofs and other inclined surfaces, mounted on a metal or wooden frame. It also showed excellent performance on floors on joists, in residential, warehouse, industrial and public premises. The material is classified as NG group, effective when working in the range of external or internal temperatures of −60°C/+200°C.

How much time modern houses they are insulated with mineral wool (it’s also called), it’s hard to remember. We can say that this is a very reliable insulation, since it lasted so long on the market. And even moreover, it has not given up its positions at all for decades.

But expensive ones come to replace him innovative materials, which in one way or another exceed the characteristics of mineral wool. And this is at a fairly high cost.

1 Features of Knauf products

Knauf is the manufacturer building materials, with a long and rich history. The German company has been operating for at least 70 years, and that's only at the global level. And locally it operates over an even longer time frame.

Knauf specialists really know how to create building materials. They are engaged in the production of building mixtures, solutions, facing materials and insulation.

Insulation Knauf company pays quite a lot of attention. Although she concentrates on just one area. And this sphere is mineral wool. Why stone mineral wool?

Yes, because its technical characteristics are the best. It is quite easy to work with, it is moderately expensive, but at the same time extremely effective.

Such a clear concentration over the years could not help but leave certain marks on the company's style. Modern Knauf basalt wool has truly unique technical characteristics. By the way, essentially the same thing.

Many of the techniques used in it were only adopted by other manufacturers many years later. Such as, for example, the elasticity of the plates and the possibility of packing them in large quantities, due to possible temporary deformations.

In the end, Knauf products– this is simply very high-quality and reliable mineral wool, the reviews of which are overwhelmingly positive. And since almost all reviews about it from customers have no complaints at their core, then this material is really worth paying attention to.

1.1 Production nuances

Stone wool is so called because it is made from stones. No matter how funny it may sound, it is true. Its second name is basalt wool. It’s already more clear here.

Basalt mineral rock is used in production. Lava stones are melted down, then added to them binder, some chemical elements and tied into fibers.

The finished fibers form solid slabs or rolls as we know them. However, mineral wool can be produced using different technologies and using different materials.

It is the production process that influences what technical characteristics the final product will have.

Ordinary mineral wool, although quite good, can be harmful, generate dust and is afraid of moisture. The guys from Knauf managed to overcome all these troubles, which allowed them to create an almost perfect insulation.

During the formation of cotton wool fibers, they completely abandoned the use of phenolic and formaldehyde resins. Almost all reviews about the dangers of mineral wool were directed at the fact that when heated, it can emit these same phenol vapors, which, in fact, are quite toxic.

There are no harmful resins in Knauf mineral wool, which means there are no harmful fumes.

The same applies to the ability of the insulation to emit dust. Dust harms human lungs and irritates the skin. Most often, it is not mineral wool that generates dust, but glass wool, but poorly formed mineral wool fibers can also break, which leads to the release of dust.

Knauf basalt wool is made of very high quality, so you won’t feel any dust when working with it. You won't need additional protection either.

As for water absorption, these negative characteristics mineral wool slabs and the rolls were pursued for many years. The issue was resolved by adding special water repellents during the knitting process, substances that help repel water from the material.

As a result, this problem was solved by Knauf specialists. Actually, this is why reviews about Knauf mineral wool slabs consist almost entirely of positive comments.

1.2 Characteristics of mineral wool

The characteristics of mineral wool slabs from the Knauf company are not satisfactory. Basalt wool itself is very good.

It easily withstands temperature changes, does not burn in fire at all and is not permanently deformed.

Its thermal conductivity is at the level of 0.035-0.4 W/m, which indicates an extremely low heat transfer coefficient.

In fact, cotton wool does not transfer heat at all. It cannot cope except with thermal radiation, but there are other insulation materials for that, which, by the way, can also be combined with this material.

However, Knauf specialists were able to achieve impressive results here too.

For example, Knauf mineral wool, if you look at its characteristics in terms of water absorption, has extremely low performance. They are at the level of 1-2% of the total volume.

If we translate this into simple language, then after the entire surface of the slab is lowered into water, in a few days it will absorb at most a few percent of the liquid, compared to the total volume of the slab.

This is a completely insignificant indicator. In fact, Knauf mineral wool has become on a par with polystyrene foam in terms of hydrophobicity. At the same time, it remains vapor permeable.

Knauf basalt wool does not burn in fire, and does not even heat up. At most, it can char, but only in the place of direct contact with fire and only if there is a very high temperature there.

As for density indicators, they are very different here. The fact is that there are several lines of branded insulation. There are mineral wool Teploknauf, Insulation s, etc. Moreover, each line has several more models of individual insulation materials.

And each of them is intended for its own purposes. Some insulate walls, others insulate pitched roofs, and accordingly their density and weight will differ, and very seriously.

2 Types of Knauf insulation

So, as we have already said, mineral wool thermal insulation materials Knauf are divided into two subgroups or lines:

  • Insulation;
  • Teploknauf.

Each is intended for its own tasks and was developed specifically for their implementation.

The Insulation range is known for its exceptional quality. This is rather a professional, rather expensive, almost universal type of insulation. It is very convenient to lay it on a large scale when multiple areas need to be processed.

In addition, the Insulation line offers excellent performance and extreme durability. Mineral wool Insulation insulates a house for decades. Moreover, the manufacturer himself provides a minimum 40-year warranty.

But this does not mean that in 40 years there will be nothing left of the slab. Most likely, it will serve you for quite a long time, provided, of course, that the Insulation wool has been used under normal conditions.

But the Teploknauf line is a simpler insulation. So to speak, household option. With its help you can decorate a small cottage, country house, etc.

2.1 Knauf Insulation

The Insulation line, in turn, is divided into 4 more subtypes. In fact, they are exactly what are used in the work.

So, as part of insulation from the Insulation group, Knauf mineral wool is distinguished:

  • Heat Roll;
  • Heat Stove;
  • Acoustic partition;
  • Pitched roof.

Heat Roll are mineral wool rolls high quality. Since it is convenient to work with rolls only in certain situations, they are used mainly for finishing floors or attics.

Heat slabs are already mineral wool slabs. Plates are more versatile. They can be mounted in any convenient location. Unless you need to be careful with the roof.

The Acoustic sample or Acoustic partition, as is already clear from the name, is intended for arranging sound insulation. In fact, any mineral wool insulation in itself does a good job of dampening noise loads, but this type of thermal insulation was specially created to absorb all sounds.

The last option is intended for insulating roofs between the rafters. It is the lightest and airiest from the Insulation line. The slabs are very elastic, they can be deformed and compressed by almost 40%, which allows them to be safely laid in frames of any size.

2.2 Teploknauf

The Teploknauf line is divided into the following samples:

  • Cottage, Cottage+;
  • Home, Home+;
  • Country house.

The Cottage and Cottage+ models are the most expensive and high quality. Actually, that’s why the word “cottage” is in their name. With their help, the walls, roofs, ceilings and floors of the house are insulated. Any cottage can be finished with this insulation quickly and easily.

The Dom and Dom+ samples are more focused on finishing pitched roofs and protecting light structures. For example, for insulating attic walls.

Well, the Dacha model is the cheapest of the insulation materials. Designed for use in low cost country houses, where it makes sense to save on materials.

I’ll also add my 5 cents about this material.

We insulated the pitched roof, about 50 sq.m. They found out that the rafters were placed at... God knows what distance from each other. Moreover, it seems that this point was naturally discussed with the foreman last year, but it turned out that we were leaving, and upon returning we discovered the distance between the rafters was from 65 to 75 cm.
In the end, we decided that we would cut the insulation, and cut the slabs, since we don’t have them in rolls, drive small nails into the rafters and tighten the nylon.

It turned out as follows - the first cut layer was 150mm (from 50mm and 100mm slabs with overlap), the second layer was sewn across another 100mm sheathing and another 100mm of insulation was laid in it, but here we filled the sheathing ourselves, and naturally there was no need to cut anything. The work, of course, went much faster, in correct size distance between the rafters (we made it 59cm), it attaches perfectly, does not fall, although it sags (bulges out), so here too we wrapped it slightly with rope (the hand was already stuffed). Izospan FD was secured on top with a stapler. It is somewhat more expensive than a simple membrane, but essentially the issue is only 1.5-2 thousand rubles for my volume, so they solved it. I taped all the stapler pins and seams with special Izospan FL tape.

Well, there are also 40mm bars on top, and then there is drywall for them.

Now, based on the material, those who write “does not generate dust” are lies. Those who write “doesn’t inject” are a lie! It is dusty and prickly. Of course, I didn’t come across others, my experience was only in a warm cottage, even where it didn’t have to be cut, dust fell from it, it was clearly visible in the rays of the sun, they worked in respirators! It started to prick my clothes after we carried the bags from the truck into the house. Don’t expect miracles, it’s just that other materials may be much dustier and more prickly, but then it’s generally tough, because it wasn’t easy to work with either. After work I wanted to run to the shower. Naturally, after we covered the ceiling with isospan and gypsum board, and after we primed and plastered the walls, everything became OK. About elasticity and volume restoration after opening the package. Well, not every sheet inflated to the stated 100mm. So somewhere from 90 to 100, although it’s still closer to 100mm, judging by the reviews from other manufacturers. Installs easily. 750mm cuttings of 100mm thickness were inserted and did not fall, but 50mm thickness kept trying to fall. Our nylon cap was more of a safety net; in fact, we could have done without it, it’s just that if you start moving the insulation, it tries to fall out on a 30-degree roof.

But now we need to insulate the attic ( monolithic ceiling), and I seriously thought - is it worth doing this with this glass wool? Price yes. Interesting. Rockwool light baths for 80 sq.m. in Irkutsk it will be 43200, this glass wool is 27000. I’ve never encountered stone wool at all. They write that it also generates dust, that it also settles, that it also needs to be covered with films, etc... in general, nothing is clear... maybe clay or sawdust...

Mineral insulation Knauf Cottage is one of those options that will allow you to achieve optimal ratio quality and price. The products are of German origin and are available in various modifications to solve a range of problems. The insulation composition includes exclusively natural ingredients, not capable of causing allergies, and in terms of technical characteristics it has practically no equal.

The name of Knauf stone mineral wool is directly related to the nuances of production. A material is created based on the artificial production of fibers according to the same principle as it happens in natural conditions after a volcanic eruption.

Stone wool, also known as basalt wool, is made from mineral basalt rocks with the addition of binding components. Ready material for thermal insulation they are produced in slabs or rolls with various parameters.

Advantages of mineral slabs

For thermal insulation of a house or cottage, Knauf mineral slabs are chosen more often than other insulation materials, and there are good reasons for this. The material really has obvious advantages, which include:

  1. Minimum thermal conductivity coefficient, which allows you to maintain an optimal microclimate in the room after insulation with a reduction in heat consumption costs.
  2. Excellent sound absorption performance.
  3. Fire resistance - Knauf mineral wool slabs belong to the group non-combustible materials, which is especially important for insulating residential buildings, cottages and other structures.
  4. Light weight - the load on structures using Knauf mineral wool is minimal.
  5. No shrinkage - even after the expiration of the period of use (50 years), the material retains its original shape and functionality.
  6. Simple and quick installation - the Knauf mineral wool insulation technology will be clear even to a beginner.
  7. Completely environmentally friendly due to the absence of toxins and dyes in mineral wool.

Among the disadvantages, one can note the higher cost of mineral slabs compared to competitive products, which, however, is justified by their high technical characteristics and long service life.

Functionality of mineral insulation - characteristics

Like anyone basalt insulation, Knauf mineral wool slabs are one of the most good decisions for installing insulation in a private house or country house. As in in roll form, and in the more familiar slabs, the insulation copes with the functions assigned to it, regardless of the external factors affecting it.

Mineral thermal insulation is resistant to fire, mechanical damage, and moisture. In other words, the material does not burn, does not sink or deform, while the thermal conductivity coefficient remains unchanged within the range of 0.035-0.4 W/m.

You can work with Knauf mineral slabs without additional funds protection without wasting time on installing a vapor barrier layer. The material’s water absorption rates are so impressive that additional protection from moisture is not required.

Regarding other technical characteristics, Knauf slabs and rolls differ depending on the type. The manufacturer offers several options for solving different problems, ranging from insulation interior walls and ceilings in a private house and ending with the insulation of facades in dachas. Each brand has its own density, thickness, and weight.

Knauf line of insulation: types of insulation and purpose

One of the most popular is considered to be insulation based on Knauf Cottage mineral wool, developed using a special “3-in-1” technology. The purpose of the material is to retain heat, protect the room from the penetration of outside noise and moisture. The slabs are equally effective for thermal insulation of walls, roofs and partitions, and are available in slabs and rolls. The first ones have the following parameters: 123×61 cm, thickness - 5 cm and 10 cm.

Another option for thermal insulation for a house or cottage made of basalt wool is Knauf Dom slabs. Initially, the material was developed for insulating private houses using a special “3D elasticity” technology. The material adheres to the surface as tightly as possible, preventing the formation of cold bridges. In order to save money, it is better to use slabs with a thickness of 10 cm to insulate the house.

In terms of technical characteristics, TeploKNAUF Dacha mineral wool insulation is not inferior to previous versions. The material is produced only in roll form, suitable for thermal insulation:

  • small suburban buildings;
  • floors;
  • attics;
  • huts for storing equipment;
  • verandas;
  • summer kitchen;
  • barn and other buildings.

One package of summer cottage material can insulate up to 18 square meters area.

Professional thermal insulation is created using insulation, again from Knauf Insulation mineral wool, with technical characteristics that make it compatible not only with walls and roofs, but with floors and attic floors. The material is suitable for insulating interior and exterior surfaces in commercial and residential areas. Knauf Insulation is available in the form of sound-absorbing boards.

Another example of rolled mineral wool insulation is Knauf Thermo Roll 040, which is especially convenient to transport. Unlike the above-described Insulation in slabs, roll insulation is suitable exclusively for horizontal surfaces - the attic and floors between floors.

When an optimal sound absorption device is important, it is better to use a special development of the company - Knauf Insulation Acoustic Partition, which meets SNiP in the “Noise Protection” category, which allows you to achieve an optimal level of silence in the room, primarily due to the technical characteristics of the mineral wool included in the composition.

For pitched roofs, an insulator made of mineral wool in the form of slabs and mats, developed on the basis of Aquastatik technology - Knauf Pitched Roof, is suitable. The material is also actively used for floor insulation in attics in private homes and country houses, choosing among several options with different parameters and technical characteristics.

And the last brand is Knauf Facade with technical characteristics designed for the use of slabs for insulating the external walls of dachas and residential buildings within the city. This brand is presented in two versions: Thermo Plate 034A and 032A. Both types of insulation are elastic, do not absorb moisture well, and are suitable for insulation under cladding and ventilated facades.
