Household yard in the village. Ideas for your yard. The layout of the courtyard of a private house. What needs to be done at the dacha household yard in October? Making the best use of every centimeter

…here you can observe the author's set of different styles, a kind of mixture of styles.
We live in the era of postmodernism. The time for "big styles" is over. The existence of pronounced trends, such as baroque, classicism, art deco, has remained far in the past, since the advent of information technologies, Internet, etc. There is too much information around us, we consume it endlessly.

The last vivid expression of style could be observed in the 20s of the last century - this is the Art Deco style. Then it was time for different stylistic trends, 1950s, 60s, 70s. Of course, each time has its own face, but in this moment There is no single dominant style in the world.

Yes, designers decorate living spaces, maintaining some style, but as a rule, such an interior looks like a "decoration" not from our time, such interiors are very cinematic, but in my opinion, they fall out of the modern context.

Even the tiniest bathroom will become cozier if you learn how to use the free space and find a place for each item. Buy shelves, hooks, stock up on transparent containers. Remove excess. Here are some ideas for organizing new storage spaces.
take the height

In a small bathroom, you can use the height of the walls and hang not one, but two or three shelves on top of each other. Inexpensive shelves and fixtures can be bought at furniture store. Place wicker baskets on them or beautiful boxes in which you hide cosmetics, detergents and towels.
stage a coup

In a combined bathroom, the space above the toilet is usually empty; you can hang several identical shelves there. original idea- put the fasteners of the shelves not from below, but on the sides of the shelves, turning them into an element of decor. For this, wooden carved fasteners are suitable. To hang such shelves, screw metal fasteners to back wall shelves. For beauty, you can paint the shelf and fixtures in White color or the color of the tile.
Mirror with a secret

In a small bathroom, it makes no sense to hang a simple mirror; it is better to make a closet behind the mirror. Let it be shallow, but if you make it the entire wall, there will be enough shelves for storage. 12 more secrets for a cramped apartment.
Look under the sink

The cabinet under the sink, as a rule, is small, but even there you can make shelves, and even better and more convenient - drawers on rails. To avoid chaos in the drawers, put organizers and transparent plastic boxes in there. Pulling out the drawer, you will immediately see what is there.
secret vault

If there is a spacious double cabinet under the sink, hang several organizer boxes inside, and attach metal storage shelves to the doors detergents and hair dryer.
Instead of shelves - baskets

There is always a free corner of the wall next to the shower cabin, use it for shelves. Wicker baskets hanging on stylized hooks look original. They can store everything from toilet paper to towels.
Use every centimeter

If the bathroom is separate, you can also create new storage places in it. For example, build a closed cabinet behind the toilet for washing powders, brushes and mops. Or make open shelves by painting them white and put beautiful bottles of cosmetics on them, decorative flowers, candles and vases.
Two write, three in the mind

Many people like to hang metal shelves-containers for shampoos in the bathroom. Instead of one shelf, buy three at once. Hang one on the wall by the shower, and put the other two in a cabinet under the sink. It is convenient to store shampoos, cosmetics, hair dryers and cleaning products in them. Don't forget to measure the height of your cabinet so you can buy the right size shelves.
Useful decor

Rustic wood panel is not only a bathroom design element, it can be used in practical purposes. Use metal brackets to attach several glass jars different sizes- they have room for cosmetics, combs, makeup brushes and much more. Glass looks good in tight spaces.
magnetic attraction

It is difficult to fight the desire to dump metal files, tweezers and hairpins in one heap. A magnet will help you overcome your laziness. Attach a magnetic strip to the mirror and it will attract all small metal objects to itself. Such magnets are sold in hardware stores for storing knives.
Mini shelves for spices

On such shelves, not only jars of spices look great, but also bottles of lotions and shampoos. In addition, they take up very little space, they can be attached to any corner of the bathroom. Paint the shelves white and put away everything that is on the sink.
Way up

Another place that is rarely used is the space above the bathroom door. There you can hang a super-high large shelf. It will become a new element of door decor and will give your bathroom an original look. And most importantly - there is a lot to fit!

Household yard at the dacha with their own hands, with an almost "empty" pocket.

Probably there are such cottages ( garden plots) on which there is a "dark" corner. A "dark" corner where a person's foot does not set foot, scraps of old materials accumulate there, things that we will definitely throw away this week when leaving, etc. In general, the place disappears, but there is no place to cut something. And finally, a strong-willed decision is made to put an end to this "dark corner" and use the vacated space for something useful, for example, for a utility yard. Which, of course, itself can gradually turn into a "dark" corner. But now it’s not about that, but about the household yard.
We decided to get rid of the "dark" corner and make a covered utility yard with our own hands. The main condition is that everything should be as cheap and practical as possible.

The first question is how to arrange the floor (platform).

From pouring the site with concrete refused immediately. Expensive, time-consuming, no possibility of further redevelopment of the site with a possible demolition of the utility yard. To dismantle the concrete pad... You understand. We thought about using a double wooden flooring as a floor. Not edged board treated with kuzbaslak or working off (used machine oil) is laid directly on the leveled ground. A bar 50mm x 50mm is laid on it. edged board on top. To such wooden floor it will be possible to screw any workbench - this is a virtue. Then they changed their minds, for what reason they can’t remember now. Still thinking, they decided to make the floor out of paving slabs. Advantage - it is easy to clean on such a floor, no additional processing is required, in case of breakage of one tile, we remove it and simply put a new one in its place. Dismantling in the event of the demolition of the utility yard is as easy as shelling pears, I collected the tiles and that's it, and then it can be used again. Decided on the floor.

The second question is how to lay the tiles.

According to the rules, you need to choose the soil, make a sand cushion of 40 centimeters, tamp the sand with a vibrating plate or trimming a log with a handle bar attached to the top. This is of course ideal, but again it came out expensive. A lot of sand is needed for a sand cushion. And the prospect of dragging sand from one end of the site to the other in the amount of one or two dump trucks, to put it mildly, was not encouraging. In addition, a few years earlier we had already made paths according to the rules: a sand cushion, tamping, tiles. But, apparently, over time, sand is mixed with soil (peat) and the paths slowly began to creep. Four years passed from the moment of laying to the first encroachments. So we decided not to follow the rules. Lay tiles directly on the ground. Well, if the tiles start to spread, you won’t have to be very upset about decent material and labor costs.

How to make a platform of tiles.

The soil was leveled with a shovel. The selected soil was piled side by side. After the site became more or less even, it was well spilled with water from a hose. When the water went into the ground, but the ground was still wet, they just walked and jumped on this platform in rubber boots. There were irregularities. They took the selected soil, scattered it around the site, leveled it with a butt of a rake, again shed it well and trampled it down. So several times until the area is relatively flat. In fairness, it should be noted that at first they still tried to lay a reinforcing layer under the tile in order to minimize possible spreading, but then they abandoned this idea. About this unsuccessful attempt, if you are interested, read at the end of the article, in a footnote. And while we continue. It took us a day and a half to prepare the site. Next, they began to lay the tiles directly on the leveled ground. Since, of course, we did not manage to achieve an ideally even and evenly compacted surface, when laying each tile, as necessary, the soil was either removed from under the tile, or, on the contrary, poured into right place. These refinement manipulations were carried out with an ordinary children's scoop. For finishing, the scoop turned out to be very handy tool. So in about a day, we laid the tiles. Seems to be pretty acceptable.

It was decided to make the utility yard of a frame type without clapboard lining, i.e. summer version. It was decided to sheathe the frame with thick reinforced polyethylene. In such a household yard there will be light and natural lighting, which is important in case of a possible power outage. The frame, according to the plan, is built from a bar with a section of 50mm x 50mm. Along the edge of our tiled floor, a solid strapping was made of timber. Vertical racks were attached to this harness at a distance of 40 - 50 cm from each other. At a height of a meter and a little, they made an additional harness. And the third harness is under the roof itself. The beam was specially stitched together with a 150 mm nail. The ends of the nails were bent. They changed their mind about wrapping the frame with reinforced polyethylene. Because knowledgeable people, who have greenhouses on their plots, said that the maximum service life of polyethylene, even if reinforced, is 3 years. Wind, temperature changes, birds do their job and gradually the film breaks. This assertion has not been tested in practice. The frame was sheathed with carboplast. Karboplast is a material made, as it seemed to us, from thin puff polyethylene. The strength of this material is much higher. For fastening to the frame, self-tapping screws with polyethylene washers were used. These washers are used when covering the roof soft roof, for example - ondulin.

The rafters were also made from fifty-fifty timber. The crate was made from old 10 mm plywood. The crate is not solid. The roof was covered with ondulin.

At the end I would like to add Our utility yard has successfully survived summer, autumn and winter, spring, another summer, autumn, and now another winter is coming .. The tiles have not yet failed, despite the work being done.

Not a good experience of strengthening paving slab paths with old tires.
I would like to note right away that perhaps the failure befell us not because of the method used (found on the Internet), but because of crooked hands. However... On the Internet, we found this way to strengthen garden paths. The point is this. We take old car tires, cut off the sidewalls, cut the remaining circle in half and get a thick rubber band. The tape is laid on the ground, paving slabs are laid on this tape. Tiles on such a non-wearing tape base will not spread. We found this method to be excellent. We got some old tires and .... We tried to cut them with metal scissors, in vain. After that, they took a grinder and cut the tires with a grinder. The process itself was terrible. The smell of log rubber, melted rubber flying in different directions ... In general, the old tires were cut. We laid out rubber bands on the site, but they turned out to be uneven. In cross section, this tape is an arc. If you fold these tapes one next to the other, then the coating is soft and wavy. Tiles on such a coating walk as they want. A few tiles just broke. We removed these rubber tracks and laid the tiles in the manner described above.

That's all.

If you got small kitchen, start to "stretch" it at the planning stage. What are you willing to sacrifice for more kitchen space? Wall? A complete table? A couple of burners or a window sill for growing geraniums? We have selected a dozen really working tricks that, if they can't add square meters your kitchen, at least they will allow you to find a place for an extra plate. And at the same time, they transform your attitude to cramped space.

1. Use an open floor plan whenever possible
The wisdom is quite obvious, but let's not be afraid to be banal: the same furniture, built in spaces of different sizes, will look completely different. The fashionable open space layout is good first of all in small apartments, where literally every centimeter of space can be loaded with several functions. The absence of partitions between the kitchen and the room allows you to place more furniture in the same volume and find a place for an additional zone, for example, a dining room.

2. Fight for a place under the window
Ignoring a window seat in a small kitchen is an unaffordable luxury. Under the window, a part of the kitchen line will perfectly fit (and we remember that a sink with a view of the city or the courtyard is not only a way to save electricity using daylight, but also a chic tool for meditation), or, at worst, just open shelves .

3. Replace the table with a bar
If there is not enough space in the kitchen, give up a separate dining area, replacing it with a light bar counter. Such a design can be a separate element of the situation, or it can continue working area(as pictured), saving even more space. In a room with open plan the bar counter also often works as a zoning barrier, separating the kitchen and living room.

Advice:
For a compact kitchen, it is best to choose a light, airy bar counter that will not visually burden the space. Or, on the contrary, solid, but with storage space inside.

4. There are never too many cabinets
Since we decided to use every centimeter of space wisely, do not neglect the opportunity to place an additional cabinet or shelf. Built-in shelving under the bar counter, ceiling-height cabinets will help to hide a lot of things. There are even special plinth boxes that allow you to use the space under kitchen cabinets, near the floor.

5. Hide technology
Built-in appliances significantly optimize the kitchen space - for example, it allows you to spread over more convenient places hob and oven, use a two-burner stove, hide the oven, dishwasher and refrigerator in a tall cabinet-pencil case. Built-in appliances take up somewhat less space, but the main thing is that they behave quite modestly: they do not violate the external integrity of the headset - they hide under the countertop and behind cabinet doors, without interfering with the design.

6. Design narrow cabinets, but don't forget the tech
If you're doing a custom kitchen, get cabinets custom size won't be difficult. But it will be much more difficult to choose and buy equipment that matches them in size. Some manufacturers have models of reduced dimensions, but their price is higher than that of conventional ones. So if you decide to save space due to the width of the cabinets, first select the appropriate "stuffing" for the kitchen. Width of typical narrow household appliances- 45 cm, but they are almost never built-in.

8. Use corners

The most economical (in terms of space) layout - corner kitchen, but only if you use the space in the corner wisely. We recommend that you carefully look at the pictures in the catalog of the kitchen program you like. AT modern kitchens offered big choice technological solutions, allowing you to easily remove any object from a voluminous corner box. Swing-out shelves can roll out by themselves when the door is opened, carousel shelves do not have "far corners". And such drawers, as in the photo, generally use every centimeter of the allotted space.

9. Open shelves are airy and ergonomic

Open shelves have a lot of advantages: they take up little space, they can have any configuration. They are easy to fill a non-standard opening or an empty corner. In addition, open shelves look lighter than wall cabinets and visually make the kitchen more spacious. The advantages of ergonomics are also obvious - just reach out to take what you need. On such shelves it is convenient to store items that are needed constantly: spices, dishes, cutlery. The disadvantage of open shelves is only one, but quite significant - they will have to be washed more often than ordinary cabinets. Items that stand on open shelves for a long time inevitably get salted, so it is better to store rarely used items in cabinets.

Advice:

If you arrange lighting under open shelves, it will add extra volume to the room.

10. Don't forget the roof rails

Railing is another controversial element of kitchen improvement. When we finally got used to using hooks for their intended purpose, designers completely fell out of love with hanging kitchen utensils on the wall. While aesthetics struggle with expediency, we still recommend considering this option. In a small kitchen where there is little space for cupboards and cupboards, hanging some of the equipment on an apron is a very tempting move. It is much more convenient to remove a ladle from a hook or to unstick a knife from a magnet than to climb into boxes. The main thing is not to overdo it. Alas, a kitchen overly hung with objects and accessories may seem visually overloaded.

11. Increase visual volume

The kitchen space can be "stretched" not only physically, but also visually, making it lighter, lighter and more voluminous. Preferred light color walls and furniture, glossy and reflective surfaces, a minimum of decorative details. It is highly recommended to illuminate the most remote corners, any openings and niches - all this makes the kitchen more spacious in the eyes of visitors and gives it a modern, fashionable and beautiful look.

12. Backlight - the protector of small

In a small kitchen, lighting is as important as air: small individual lamps built into the elements of kitchen structures will make the room larger and more comfortable, and work in the kitchen more comfortable and safer. It can be spotlights, large chandeliers, LED lights and even duralight.

Proper use of space in the living room is a question that the owners of both small and large rooms have to decide. A modest area makes you look non-standard solutions to accommodate everything you need. The owners of a spacious living room, on the contrary, do not always know how to fill the free space. Share unusual ideas, which will allow rational use of the entire area of \u200b\u200bthe living room.

1. Mini library at the door

The space around the door is most often unfairly forgotten. An interesting option its use is to hang open shelves above the door and on the sides of it, arranging a mini-library.

2. Table overlooking the street

To make spending time with guests even more exciting, provide them with the opportunity to enjoy the views from the window. The console table at the windowsill replaces the coffee table. Don't forget about comfortable chairs.

3. Move up

The opinion that the possibilities for placing shelves in the living room have been exhausted is often erroneous. Almost always, high shelves, consisting of several tiers, help solve the problem of storing small necessary things in the living room. The most spacious will be shelves from floor to ceiling.

4. Get the most out of … coffee table

Even the most elegant coffee table can become a multifunctional element in the living room interior. It is enough to choose models, in the lower part of which a shelf is provided.

5. Useful environment for TV

TV standing out from the background empty wall, often seems like an extra element in the holistic interior of the living room. The solution to this problem is to create a useful environment for appliances in the form of shelves and cabinets that occupy most of the wall.

6. The wall behind the sofa - in business

The wall behind the sofa mainly serves only to place paintings or lighting fixtures on it. In order to rationally use this vertical surface, place a shelf on it. The option that is optimal in terms of safety for those sitting on the sofa is a shelf suspended as high as possible.

7. Console or bar counter behind the back of the sofa

You can effectively use the space behind the back of the sofa by placing a bar or console table here. Such a simple solution will make the interior of the living room not only non-standard, but also more functional.

8. There are never too many poufs

Comfortable stools or pouffes will never be superfluous in the interior of the living room. Don't be afraid to put in too many mobile seats: they will never be empty. After all, they can be used as a mini-table. In addition, there are models with a storage system inside.

9. Cozy home with candles

You can not install a real fireplace in every apartment or house. An alternative to it will be a false fireplace, the fire in which is replaced by burning candles. The upper part of it plays the role of a shelf or TV stand. Also, a fake fireplace is a great way to decorate an empty wall.

10. Two is better than one

Sometimes the living room is empty for a long time, but sometimes the room is not able to accommodate a large cheerful company. If this situation is familiar, then pay attention to the double coffee tables. One of them, smaller, easily hides under the other. If necessary small table gets, and there is twice as much space for placing food and drinks.

It will be useful to learn how to divide the living room into functional areas. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with
