If there are no sidewalks, footpaths or shoulders, and if it is impossible to move along them, pedestrians may move along a bicycle path or walk in a single row along the edge of the roadway (on roads with a dividing strip along the outer edge of the roadway).... Road Rules Movements

When driving along the side of the road or the edge of the roadway in the dark or in conditions of insufficient visibility, pedestrians are recommended to carry objects with reflective elements and ensure that these objects are visible to vehicle drivers... Traffic Rules

If there is no crossing or intersection in sight, it is permitted to cross the road at right angles to the edge of the roadway in areas without dividing strips and fences where it is clearly visible in both directions.... Traffic Rules

At unregulated pedestrian crossings, pedestrians can enter the roadway after assessing the distance to approaching vehicles, their speed and making sure that the crossing will be safe for them. When crossing the roadway outside a pedestrian crossing, pedestrians, in addition, must not interfere with the movement of vehicles and exit from behind a standing vehicle or other obstacle limiting visibility without ensuring that there are no approaching vehicles. Traffic Laws

Once on the roadway, pedestrians should not linger or stop unless this is related to ensuring traffic safety. Pedestrians who do not have time to complete the crossing must stop on the line dividing traffic flows in opposite directions. You can continue crossing only after making sure that further movement is safe and taking into account the traffic light signal (traffic controller).... Traffic Rules

triangular, and the perimeter of the triangle is red. The signs of this group differ from each other by drawings inside a triangle. Children running are depicted - a warning to the driver - school is approaching, kindergarten. A car with a sinuous tire track in a triangle warns that the road ahead is slippery.

the images and numbers drawn inside the red circle clearly and categorically say what exactly this sign prohibits. You should be aware of signs prohibiting pedestrian and bicycle traffic. A wide white horizontal stripe in a solid red circle prohibits entry.

These signs have images and numbers located in a circle blue. White arrows indicate the direction of movement. White numbers on a blue background instruct the driver not the maximum, but the minimum speed, or driving slowly is dangerous.

Their main color is blue and their shape is square or rectangular. These signs indicate where the pedestrian crossing and parking place are, the direction to the desired locality and the distance to it.

1. Walk only on the sidewalk! 2. Cross the street in places where there are crossing lines or signs, and where there are none - at intersections along the sidewalk line. 3. When crossing the street, look to the left, and when you reach the middle, look to the right. 4. On streets and roads where traffic is regulated, cross the roadway only when the traffic light is green or the traffic controller gives permission. 5. Do not cross the road in front of nearby vehicles. 6. Do not go out onto the roadway because of a standing car or other obstruction to your view; as a last resort, stop and carefully look at what is there... 7. When crossing the street, you should not have a lively conversation - conversations distract your thoughts and eyes from observation. 8. Do not play games or skate, ski or sled on the roadway!

and health on the road!!!

The main objective of the lesson:

Learn to anticipate

And avoid danger!!!

Study questions.

-Who is a pedestrian? - Responsibilities of pedestrians. - General safety measures for pedestrians. - Conclusions. - Questions for self-test.

The Traffic Rules say:

“A pedestrian is a person who is outside a vehicle on the road and does not work on it. Persons moving in wheelchairs without motors, driving a bicycle, moped, motorcycle, carrying a sled, cart, baby stroller or wheelchair are considered pedestrians.”

Pedestrians must move on sidewalks or pedestrian paths, or, if they do not exist, along the sidewalks.

(If there are no sidewalks, footpaths or shoulders, or if it is impossible to move along them, pedestrians may move along a bicycle path or walk one after another along the edge of the roadway.)

  • On a country road, pedestrians must walk towards the movement of vehicles.
  • Pedestrians using non-motorized wheelchairs, as well as those driving a bicycle, moped or motorcycle next to them, must follow the direction of travel of vehicles.

- Pedestrians can cross the carriageway at pedestrian crossings, or, if there are none, at intersections along sidewalks or roadsides.

- In the absence of a pedestrian crossing or intersection, a pedestrian is allowed to cross the road at right angles to the edge of the roadway in an area without a dividing strip or fences. In this case, the road should be clearly visible in both directions.

- Once on the roadway, pedestrians should not linger or stop unless this is related to ensuring traffic safety. - Pedestrians who do not have time to complete the crossing must stop on the center line dividing traffic flows in opposite directions, or on a “safety island”. It will be possible to continue the crossing only after making sure that further movement is safe and if the traffic light signal (regulator) allows the crossing.

- When approaching a car with a blue flashing light and a special sound signal on, pedestrians are required to refrain from crossing the roadway, and those on the roadway must immediately clear it (step back or quickly cross to the desired side), giving way to such a car.

- When driving on the sidewalk, always stay on the right side to avoid interfering with oncoming pedestrian traffic or obstructing traffic. - When walking along the sidewalk past a gate or garage exit, you need to pay attention to whether a car is leaving.

- When preparing to cross the road, you need to inspect the roadway. Let us repeat that pedestrians cross the roadway at pedestrian crossings or at intersections. An intersection is a place where two or more roads intersect. If roads converge on three sides, then the intersection is called a three-way intersection. If the roads converge on four sides, then the intersection is called a four-way intersection. There are intersections where more than four roads converge. Such intersections form a square.

Let's sum it up

  • Pedestrians are all people walking along the road, even if they are carrying a bicycle, moped or motorcycle next to them.

-Pedestrians must move on sidewalks and pedestrian paths.

- Pedestrians must cross the roadway at a pedestrian crossing.

Let's repeat

1. Who is a pedestrian?

2. How should pedestrians move along the road?

3.Where should you cross the road?

4.What traffic violations can lead to an accident?

All vehicle traffic is PROHIBITED in all directions. Pedestrians are NOT allowed to cross the roadway.

When you walk down the street, you are a pedestrian. You are only allowed to walk on the street on sidewalks, keeping to the right side so as not to interfere with the movement of oncoming pedestrians. If there is no sidewalk, walk toward traffic on the shoulder or edge of the road. Then not only does the driver see you from a distance, but you also see the approaching car.

In order to cross to the other side of the street, there are certain places and they are called pedestrian crossings. They are marked with "Pedestrian Crossing" road signs and white zebra lines. If there is no designated pedestrian crossing, you can cross the street at intersections along the sidewalk or curb lines.
Make sure it is completely safe before crossing the road. Stop at the edge of the roadway, listen, look to the left and, if there are no cars, walk to the middle of the roadway. Look to the right again, and if there is no traffic, complete the crossing. The road must be crossed at right angles and in places where the road is clearly visible in both directions.

If there is a traffic light at a crosswalk or intersection, it will show you when to walk and when to stand and wait. Red light for pedestrians - stop, yellow - wait, green - go. Never cross the street at a red light, even if there are no cars nearby. As soon as the light turns green, do not “throw” from the sidewalk onto the road. It happens that the car's brakes are faulty, and it can unexpectedly drive into a pedestrian crossing. Therefore, you need to cross the road calmly. Cross, don't run across!

A smart pedestrian will never run out onto the road, even if it is a crossing point. He will walk calmly, because for a driver a person jumping out onto the road is always a surprise, and it is unknown whether the driver will be able to cope with this surprise. It is dangerous to play near the road: riding a bicycle in summer or sledding in winter. Know the rules of pedestrian safety, don’t break them, learn to apply them in life!
The main rule safe behavior- foresee danger. Slow down, listen when you approach an arch, a corner of a house - in general, any place where a car might unexpectedly drive out.

“Vehicle” is a device designed to transport people, goods or equipment installed on it on roads.
“Road participant” is a person directly involved in the traffic process as a driver, pedestrian, or passenger of a vehicle.
Look carefully at the following slides and answer the questions.

Name the road users. Name the vehicles.

Find pedestrians in the photo. Find the vehicles in the photo.

Identify the vehicles in the photos. Show road users.

BEFORE YOU CROSS THE ROAD, MAKE SURE IT IS SAFE!
Typical road "traps".
1. The main danger is a stationary car! A stationary car is dangerous: it can block another car that is moving at high speed, making it difficult to notice the danger in time. You cannot go out onto the road because of parked cars. As a last resort, you need to carefully look out from behind a standing car, make sure that there is no danger, and only then cross the road.

2. Do not go around a stationary bus, either in front or behind! A stationary bus covers a section of the road along which a car may be passing at the moment you decide to cross it. In addition, people near the bus stop are usually in a hurry and forget about safety. From the stop you need to move towards the nearest pedestrian crossing.

3. Know how to anticipate hidden dangers! A car may unexpectedly drive out from behind a stationary car, house, fence, bushes, etc. To cross the road, you need to choose a place where the road is visible in both directions. As a last resort, you can carefully look out from behind the obstacle, make sure that there is no danger, and only then cross the road.

4. The car is approaching slowly, but you still need to let it pass. A slow moving car can hide behind a car going at high speed. A pedestrian is often unaware that another car may be hidden behind one car.

5. And at a traffic light you can encounter danger. Today on city roads we are constantly faced with the fact that car drivers violate traffic rules: they rush at high speed, ignoring traffic lights and crossing signs. Therefore, it is not enough to focus on the green traffic light; you need to make sure that there is no danger. Pedestrians often reason like this: “The cars are still standing, the drivers see me and will let me through.” They are wrong.

6. Children often run across a “deserted” street without looking. On a street where cars rarely appear, children run out onto the road without first examining it and get hit by a car. Develop the habit of always stopping before going out onto the road, looking around, listening - and only then crossing the street.

7. When standing on the center line, remember: there may be a car behind you! Having reached the center line and stopping, pedestrians usually only look out for cars moving on the right side and forget about the cars passing behind them. Frightened, a person can take a step back - right under the wheels of a car. If you had to stop in the middle of the road, you must be extremely careful and not make a single move without making sure it is safe.

8. Arches and exits from courtyards are places of hidden danger! In large cities, arches through which cars exit from courtyards onto the roadway are places of increased danger.

Find dangers for pedestrians:

Try to understand the traffic situations suggested on the following slides and give advice to pedestrians.

Situation 1. A passenger got off the bus (or trolleybus) onto a landing site located on the sidewalk or side of the road. There is a pedestrian crossing not far from the stop.
What to do?

Situation 1. What if the pedestrian crossing is located before the stop?

Situation 2. The passenger has stepped onto the side of the road or sidewalk, he needs to cross to the other side of the road, but there is no pedestrian crossing nearby
What to do?

Situation 3. At stopping points equipped with raised landing platforms (located in the middle of the road), passengers alighted from stopped trams moving in opposite directions and decided to cross to opposite sides of the road. Trams A and B stopped opposite each other. At the same time, tram A ended up behind a pedestrian crossing, and tram B was a little short of reaching this pedestrian crossing.

Situation 4. Two pedestrians exit oncoming trams at stopping points equipped with raised landing platforms located in the middle of the road. Both trams did not reach the pedestrian crossing, which is adjacent to the landing areas. Both pedestrians decided to cross the tram tracks and head to the opposite side of the road.

Situation 5. Pedestrians got off the trams at boarding points that were not equipped with raised boarding platforms. Boarding points are located in the middle of the road
