Many centuries ago, a young healer lived in a small village on the seashore.

The old man was a regular in the tavern, and although he was forbidden to drink alcohol by faith, he found charm in eating to satiety on the generous donations of the inhabitants or gawking at the pretty granddaughters of the innkeeper who served food to visitors. Behind his eyes, the priest called the healer a charlatan and a warlock, and meeting him on one of the three streets of the village, he crossed himself and spat over his left shoulder. In the evenings, after eating in the tavern, the old man, with his hands folded on his huge belly, began to invite everyone in the chapel - according to him, it was worth kissing one of the golden icons - and any illness passed. Until the age of twenty, the young healer lived in his father's house. And then it happened that during a thunderstorm, lightning struck a wooden hut and burned it to the ground. It was then that he moved to an empty house on the lake and began, like his father, to heal people. In the five years that have passed since the tragedy, the healer's sister has grown up. A girl of rare beauty, whom many young guys of the village looked at, like her brother, preferred loneliness to communication with people. In search of rare herbs and berries, he and his brother often climbed far from home, saw the distant southern plains and reached the low northern mountains. Only the city to the east had never led their way.
It so happened that the healer liked the golden-haired daughter of a fisherman. The man spent less and less time with his sister. Now his favorite pastime was walking along the shore with a girl whom he fell in love with so much that he was ready to be among the fishermen and listen to their monotonous stories every evening, just to invite the beauty to take a walk at night under the stars along the shore.
- Tell me, what do you dream about? - the healer once asked his beloved.
The girl smiled sadly. The man held her hand.

The bride beamed with joy, participating in a ceremony invented by another people for themselves, beyond the seas and mountains hundreds of years ago.
From that day on, the fisherman's daughter moved to the healer's house. The capricious and wayward beauty immediately did not get along with the healer's quiet and modest sister. All women's work was still on the young shoulders of the sister-in-law, and the wife often went to the fishing part of the village to gossip with her friends who remained there.

The man once again carefully examined the stone circle and only now discovered in the very center an unusual symbol that did not look like a rune - the Four-leaf Clover.
With gratitude, he touched the bas-relief of the magical plant and suddenly felt gentle, unobtrusive warmth under his fingers.
The healer stepped off the cliff and walked quickly towards the house. On the way, he noticed that on the far side of the lake there were only clumps of willows and a wild bank, but there was no sign of a house.
