What motor for the vibrating table. How to make your own vibrating table for making paving slabs. We construct a homemade vibration table with our own hands - simple solutions

Paving slabs are great solution for registration personal plot. Its use gives the site a neat and well-groomed appearance, and a paving area for recreation or parking will always be clean and dry. The only negative occurs when the estimate for the arrangement is made. Price paving slabs It’s not going to fall yet, and the design of paths and platforms can cost a pretty penny.

What is a vibrating table

If you still have an irresistible desire to decorate your yard with tiles, then there is a way to do it inexpensively and efficiently. Tiles are possible. In this case, its price will be several times less than the purchase price, and if you make an effort and do everything according to technology, then the quality of such tiles will not differ from the branded ones.

To do this, you will have to use a concrete mixer and make a vibrating table with your own hands; a drawing and brief explanations of the manufacturing process can be found on the page. This is the largest investment that will have to be made to begin work on building a yard. A concrete mixer doesn’t count, since almost every owner has one, but problems can arise with a vibrating table. A vibrating table is necessary to compact the concrete mixture from which the tiles are cast, and without the compaction process the material will be loose and friable, which will undoubtedly affect the strength and service life of the finished tile.

The vibrating table is designed very simply and you can use different methods to make it. The drawings and photographs that decorate the page show that its design can be different, as well as power and performance. Depending on the tasks assigned, everyone selects a design according to their needs.

The main element of the vibrating table is a motor with an eccentric, which together form a vibrating unit. The vibration mechanism sets in motion a movable plate on which the mold with the solution will be placed during the production process. Under the influence of vibration of the slab, the solution is compacted to a certain limit, after which new forms are installed on the slab.

Main characteristics of the vibrating table

To make a simple vibrating table, you need to prepare a set of materials and tools, and with good skills in working with metal, the structure is assembled in a day and another day is spent on finishing. Materials you will need:

  • 4 support stands made of rolled metal (pipe, angle, I-beam);
  • sheet of metal with a thickness of at least 3 mm;
  • electric motor of any power;
  • durable springs made of hardened steel.

Tools, of course, will be necessary, but you can limit yourself to a minimum set of a welding machine, a drill and a grinder.

The main characteristic of a vibrating table is its size. The larger the table, the more forms you can place on it. But then there is a need to increase the engine power, since the weight of the tabletop will also increase. Springs are selected empirically, and engine power can start from 250 W. Recommended table dimensions are 1800x800 mm.

Engine on vibration table and drawings

The engine power should not be too high, which is why many people use motors from washing machines. Its only drawback is its small resource. But if there are no plans to provide tiles to the entire area, then one engine can work properly for several years under average loads. The motor can be modified, since the main weak side its steel bushings or bearings. If you immediately change the bearings to reinforced ones and remove the bushings and replace them with bearings, the table will last even longer.

You can use a ready-made vibrator. IV99, for example, will cost 5-7 thousand, but it is practically eternal, since it has a power reserve and is designed for such work. An excellent addition would be a speed controller. With this, you can adjust the vibration frequency for each batch of tiles separately.

Important details when making a vibrating table

Despite the simplicity of the design, the manufacturing and calculation work requires compliance with some subtleties. The working surface of the table must have a mass, which is dictated by the dimensions and materials of manufacture. The weight of the table must correspond to the capabilities of the vibration motor, and the frame itself must be welded strong and rigid.

It is very important to adjust the vibration frequency. If this is not done, the tiles will either be unaesthetic if the amplitude is too large, or they will not be compacted enough. Thus, after spending a few days, the farm will acquire one more useful tool, which will come in handy more than once.

The production of high-quality paving slabs is impossible without a vibrating table. Large enterprises purchase industrial models, but for organizing a small business or for manufacturing products for personal use on own plot You can make a vibration table with your own hands.

The vibrating table consists of:

  • Frame and support post.
  • Table top attached to the frame via springs.
  • Motor.
  • Starting device.

Vibrating table manufacturing process

First of all, a suitable motor is selected. You can use the motor from washing machine or other asynchronous motor at 220 V. Its main feature a unit (eccentric) fixed to the shaft, rotating with an offset relative to the center of mass. Due to the displacement, the vibration necessary for compaction is ensured.

An ordinary motor is converted into a vibration motor by attaching a metal washer (eccentric) to the motor shaft. A hole is made in it and a thread is cut to 8. A bolt is screwed into the thread and fixed in the washer using a control nut. The vibration level is adjusted by screwing/unscrewing the bolt.

If you don’t have a suitable motor at hand or an exact understanding of what it should be, you can buy it in a store. One of the suitable options is the IV-99 E 220 V vibrator. It will cost about 6 thousand rubles.

To control the amplitude of the supplied vibrations, an additional AC potentiometer is installed. The vibration force is controlled by changing the level of voltage supplied to the motor. This will allow you to adjust the operation of the vibrating table in accordance with the type of mixture and the size of the molds.

Before starting to manufacture the installation, you need to find drawings or draw it yourself. Detailed drawing will be discussed a little further. The work must be completed in full accordance with it.

To make a vibration table with your own hands, you need to prepare the following materials:

  • Sheet of metal (future working surface).
  • Vibrator for vibrating table.
  • Metal plates.
  • Springs.
  • Metal corner.
  • Metal pipes.
  • Welding machine.
  • Bolts for securing the engine.
  • Drill.
  • Bulgarian.
  • Metal washer.

The main points of making a vibrating table:

  1. Choice of base material. A corner or channel is suitable. The dimensions of the base depend on individual needs. Standard size: 70x70 cm. When planning the working space, you must also take into account the engine power.
  2. Making supports. Metal pipes can be used as supports. They are attached to the base by welding. Welded to the legs metal plates. If the table is located in one place, the plates are filled with solution, ensuring maximum fixation of the vibrating table on the floor surface. If movement is necessary, the plates can be attached to the floor with bolts or in another way. The height of the table should ensure maximum comfort during operation and the motor should not be placed directly above the ground (it is better to raise it slightly).
  3. Selection of springs. They are needed to provide vibration work surface. Springs from a car or moped, cut in half, will do. The springs should have a wide coil - this will ensure the maximum level of vibration. They are attached to the base and tabletop by welding.

To simplify the replacement of broken springs, they do not need to be welded. A pipe with a diameter corresponding to the diameter of the springs is selected and small pieces of it are welded to the base. Springs are put on these pieces (possibly inserted), providing fixation and the ability to remove the tabletop from the base.

  1. Engine installation. To install the engine, weld a square to the base across the vibrating table. The main requirement when installing a vibrator is maximum fixation. If you neglect this rule, the engine will be subject to vibration, which will negatively affect its service life.
  2. Making a table top. The size of the work surface is determined solely by individual needs or availability suitable material: sheet metal with a thickness of 8 mm or more. If you use a surface of less thickness, it will deform during operation. Sides are welded along the edges of the tabletop to prevent the forms with the solution from moving from the work surface and falling to the floor.

Vibrating table on a car tire

To do this you need:

  • Tire from a passenger car.
  • Motor.
  • Work surface (plywood, chipboard or other flat base).

Manufacturing process:

  1. The motor is attached to the working surface from below. The main thing is to fix it securely.
  2. The tire is attached so that the motor is exactly in the middle of it.

The resulting vibrating table of a simple design can be installed on a regular wooden table or by building a kind of tower by placing several tires on top of each other. The use of tires of different sizes can increase the stability of the structure.

What should you pay special attention to?

A vibrating table for paving slabs should be made taking into account the following points:

  • The motor must be securely fixed in the place indicated in the drawing so that vibrations are distributed evenly over the entire surface of the tabletop. To do this, its axis must be as close as possible to the center of gravity of the working surface. If there are 2 vibration motors, it is better to space them to the edges: it is difficult to find the center of gravity and such placement will help eliminate inaccuracies.
  • The supports must be positioned so that their center, when compressed, is at the same level as the vibrator axis. This promotes uniform distribution of vibrations over the working surface.
  • If bolts are used during installation, choose ones with fine threads (less exposed to vibrations).
  • When creating a frame for the working surface, it is better to use square pipes rather than corners - this will allow you to achieve maximum rigidity countertops.

Particular attention should be paid to calculating the level of vibrations supplied by the motor to the working surface. If this is not done and the electric motor is installed without making calculations, there is a chance that the mixture in the molds, due to insufficient impact, will be poorly compacted, and the quality of the manufactured tiles will decrease. If there is excessive vibration, the solution will “boil”, rendering the product unusable. To find out the required motor power, you first need to calculate the forced (disturbed) force. For these purposes the following formulas are used:

  1. Sun = K (Mt + 0.2 M + 0.2 V)
  2. Sun = K (Mt + M + 0.2 V)
  • Sun – forcing force, N.
  • Mt – weight of the vibrating part of the table, including the motor, kg.
  • M – mold weight, kg.
  • B – weight of the solution in molds, kg.
  • K is a coefficient depending on the solution and the rigidity of the molds (on average 20-40).

The first formula is applicable in the case of loose forms on the working surface, the second - in the case of fixed ones.

Sun = M x P x B2

  • M – weight of the weight in kg,
  • R – radius to its center of gravity in meters,
  • B2 – square of angular frequency = 3.14n/30, where n is the number of revolutions in 60 seconds.

To obtain the required power in kN, you need to divide Bs by 1000.

Video of the work process of a homemade vibrating table

The vibrating table has simple design, which allows you to make it yourself from scrap materials, giving you the opportunity to produce paving slabs at home, spending a minimum amount cash. To ensure maximum performance, it is worth considering all the recommendations given in this article during manufacturing.

For high quality workmanship To make paving slabs or sections of a concrete fence with your own hands, you need a vibrating table, which you can purchase or you can make yourself. It is easy to make and economically feasible. Most of the materials for it are available in any workshop or garage.

Studying the prices for paving slabs and concrete fences, many decide to make them themselves. Firstly, it is profitable, and secondly, you can make good money on subsequent production, especially if you live in an area with a lot of new buildings and empty lots. To implement the idea, just select the shapes and make a vibrating table.

Nuances when preparing for work

Despite the fact that all methods for making a vibrating table are largely similar, there are nuances that need to be clarified at the stage of creating the drawing. So that you don’t have to redo everything after launching, let’s look at the main ones.

Selecting the engine

A special vibration motor can be purchased at the store, but it is not cheap. Most people prefer to purchase washing machine motors from friends or find suitable option in the garage. In general, you can rely on the following indicators: for large tables weighing 200-250 kg and a tabletop length from a meter to two - a motor from 0.75 to 1.1 kW. For small vibrating tables up to two hundred kilograms and a size of 1x1 meter or less - a power of 0.23 kW.

Do not forget that low-power motors are not intended for mass production and can withstand about 30 cycles, after which the bearings will have to be changed, and the axle may also become loose.

What material to choose for the countertop

Metal is most often used, since it is easier to clean the solution, but in our example we will show the option with an OSB board. The material was not chosen by chance; the main goal was to lighten the structure. The plate does not carry a structural load, but only serves to protect the engine and vibration mechanism from the solution getting on them, so there is no need to make it out of metal.

When choosing a metal, pay attention not only to the dimensions, but also to the weight of the slab. If the engine is powerful and the tabletop is made of thin metal, it can be torn off or bent. If thick metal is selected and the motor is from washing machine, its power is not enough to create the desired vibration.

Base shape

Factory tables are supported on four legs, our example will show an H-shaped base. In terms of strength and stability, it is not inferior to the classic form, but in this way it was possible to achieve a convenient approach from any point. When dragging mortar or tiles, a person does not cling to the partitions, and manufacturing costs are significantly reduced. With the classic version, you have to weld not only the frame, but also strengthen it with cross-shaped planks.

To make sections of fences, you will have to make an oblong vibrating table, a little more than two meters long, and for tiles a small one, up to 50x50 cm, will be suitable. Everyone selects the height according to their height.

Springs or rubber cushions

Rubber pads or springs are used to make a vibrating table. If the table is made for yourself and runs on a low-power motor, you can install rubber cushions. For large tiles or a fence needs springs.

When there is strong vibration, the plate collides with hard rubber. These impacts will eventually destroy not only the cushion, but also the tabletop itself. In addition, the impacts are transferred to the frame and if you do not weld the platform legs, they will break the floor or enter the ground unevenly.

You can get springs for free by asking your friends. Others simply buy springs from a moped or car on the market and cut them in half. They should be from 8 to 12 cm in height. Soft springs create less noise, but can be strongly compressed. Considering that they are selected empirically, it is better not to take risks.

To check whether the springs are suitable or not, in the assembled state, load the platform with a weight twice the planned load. In this state, the tabletop should not come into contact with the glass under the springs.

Two motors or one with eccentric regulation

There is a situation when a person found two old motors from washing machines and decided to install them on a vibration table. Such engines will work normally provided that they are absolutely identical. Otherwise, different frequencies will lead to “boiling” of the concrete.

Some deliberately take this step, planning to regulate the strength of vibration by turning on one or two motors at the same time. It is better to purchase one powerful one and adjust the force with eccentrics, this will reduce the percentage of defects.

Tools and materials for making a vibrating table

Since the vibration mode is very aggressive, the material for the future table must be chosen with a margin of safety.

To make a vibrating table you will need:

  • 12 meters profile pipe size 100x80 mm;
  • quarter square meter metal sheet 12 mm thick;
  • round bars with a diameter of 40 mm and a length of 400 mm;
  • round bars with a diameter of 100 mm and a length of 150 mm;
  • four bolts 20x100;
  • metal screws;
  • engine 2800 rpm 1 kW;
  • machine;
  • cable.

Necessary tools for work:

  • Bulgarian;
  • a set of locksmith tools;
  • square;
  • ruler;
  • electrodes;
  • cutting wheels.

Step-by-step instructions for assembling a vibrating table

For the base, we cut six pieces from a 100x80 pipe, 600 mm long, and one two-meter piece. For the upper movable plate, we cut four pieces from a 100x80 profile pipe with a length of 440 mm and two pieces of 2200 mm. From a sheet 12 mm thick, cut a rectangular piece measuring 600 by 400 mm.

Now let's start assembling. Let's start with the base, which consists of two H-shaped supports, placed on their sides and rigidly connected to each other by a crossbar by welding, from pipe sections 600 mm long.

20x100 screws are installed on the lower horizontal of the supports to adjust the table level. On the top ones, 6 pieces of pipe are welded, 1 cm high and with a diameter suitable for the springs.

Springs from engine valves of a ZIL car or any other heavy-duty vehicle are well suited for this. Three pieces of tubes are welded onto each support. The tubes act as cups for the springs.

The top plate of the vibrating table is a rigidly welded rectangular frame, along the edges of which sections of profile pipe 2200 mm long are connected to each other by parts of 440 mm pipes, at equal distances from each other.

A 12 mm sheet measuring 600x400 mm is welded to the frame in the middle, onto which the vibration motor is attached. The same sockets for springs are welded along the edges of the frame as on its lower part. The sockets on both sides must be placed strictly opposite each other so that the springs inserted into them stand vertically.

The peculiarity of this table is that vibration occurs in a horizontal plane, eliminating boiling of the mixture. That is why the vibration mechanism must be made independently, rather than installing a factory one, which has vertical vibration.

The vibrator mechanism itself consists of a bearing cage and a hollow cylinder. Bearings are installed at both ends, and the cylinder itself is welded to a plate on the upper half of the vibrating table.

1 - cylinder; 2 — races for bearings; 3 - bearings; 4 - shaft; 5 — eccentrics; 6 - pulley; 7 - nut

A shaft is pressed into the bearings, onto which a pulley is placed, and two eccentrics are installed on it, which are attached to the pulley with six bolts. Since the bolts are located in a circle at the same distance, this makes it possible to rotate the eccentrics in relation to each other, thereby regulating the force of vibration. All this is secured with a nut screwed onto the thread at the top of the shaft.

On the opposite side of the plate, a flange electric motor is mounted using four bolts. A pulley is pressed onto the motor shaft. Rotation from the engine to the vibration mechanism is transmitted via a textrope belt. All this is covered OSB board, cut to the size of the table.

That's basically all. The table has been tested quite well; over the course of a year, about four hundred tons of concrete were vibrated on it; there were no breakdowns or malfunctions during this time.

Common manufacturing mistakes

Some people do not put springs in glasses, but put them on steel fingers. When vibrating at the moment of pressure, they can move slightly in different directions. This uneven load quickly wears out the springs.

The tabletop is framed around the edges so that the molds do not slide onto the floor, but one corner should be bent for drainage. Then you won’t have to pick out the remaining mortar with a trowel.

To determine where to weld the cups on the frame, you can lubricate the springs with grease and press the frame against them, then marks will remain on its surface.

Take your time and do everything efficiently, then you can sell the equipment and get a lot more more money what was invested. Thus, you will not only save on tiles and fences, but also recoup some of the material spent on their manufacture.

Major brands that produce shaped paving elements (FEM is the professional name for paving slabs) use a forming and unforming table to increase productivity and reduce manual labor. To produce a small amount of FEM, an individual developer only needs to make a molding vibrating table for paving slabs with his own hands from rolled metal or scrap materials (for example, used passenger car rubber).

When designing a machine for the production of paving slabs with your own hands, the home craftsman must solve the following issues:

  • vibration platform size;
  • material, design and dimensions of the frame;
  • using a factory vibrator or installing an eccentric unit on an existing electric drive.

Performance homemade equipment depends not on the size of the vibration platform, but on the technology. More precisely, from the water-cement ratio of the concrete mixture:

Important! When using semi-dry concrete with a low W/C ratio, it will be possible to reduce the molding time by half (after 12 hours), which will also not have a significant impact on productivity.

But, if you supplement a homemade vibrating table for paving with a press from a jack, the vibropressed shaped paving elements can be pulled out of the molds immediately, folded to dry by hand, without fear that the product will collapse. But, instead of polymer molds, this technology uses metal punches and dies.

Homemade vibropress for the production of paving slabs.

Therefore, the dimensions of the vibrating table are most often 1 x 2 m or 0.8 x 1.6 m. These dimensions allow you to save workspace inside the workshop/garage, provide 1.28 - 2 m2 for placing paving lining and protect the vibration motor from overload.

Vibrating table manufacturing technology

Before making a vibrating table from rolled steel, you should consider the following nuances:

  • the best option rivets are used to connect structural elements, which can withstand vibration loads for a long time without destruction;
  • in practice, in 99% of cases, welding is used, so the vibrating platform is installed on the frame through damping springs;
  • the height is selected individually, taking into account the build of the master, maintenance of the electric drive and the technology used for manufacturing FEM elements;
  • the vibrator is always attached to the top plate with clamps or to a platform welded underneath.

The most economical and rational solution for home handyman the following option will appear:

  • prefabricated structure of a vibrating table necessary for the manufacture of garden borders, storm drainage trays and shaped paving elements in the quantity required for the site;
  • After paving paths and parking lots with paving slabs, the vibrator is moved to a vibrating plate for final leveling and cladding seals;
  • The vibrating platform turns into a table top for a circular saw.

For these conditions, it is best to use site dimensions of 0.4 x 0.8 m or 0.6 x 0.8 m for greater stability. The clear height of the base is 0.8 m, with a spring-loaded platform of about 0.9 m, which is comfortable for user heights in a wide range of 150 – 185 cm.

bed

To work you will need an angle grinder with metal equipment and welding machine. To make a frame, you can choose any drawing of a vibrating table or take arbitrary dimensions. The structure is constructed according to the following method:

  • welding two identical frames from a corner;
  • assembling the frame by welding 4 racks to the frames.

Instead of a corner, you can use any assortment, for example, legs from round pipe become ready-made guides for a spring of a suitable diameter, as in the bottom photo.

Pipe stands are convenient for placing springs.

For the specified conditions universal machine the base will have the following design:

  • supports – base 5 x 5 cm made of 1.5 mm sheet (nuts can be welded to adjust the height), legs made of pipe 4 x 4 cm with a wall of 1.5 mm;
  • crossbars – bottom 2 x 2 cm, top 2 x 4 cm, wall thickness is the same 1.5 mm;
  • for a removable platform, M14 x 40 bolts are welded at the corners;
  • The electrics (socket + switch) are placed on a plate welded to the racks.

Placement of electrics on the frame.

With the indicated dimensions, jibs and stiffeners are not needed, taking into account small operating loads.

Vibration platform

The main condition for ensuring maintainability and mobility of the equipment is the removable cover-platform of the vibrating table for paving slabs and curbs. It can be made from various materials:

To secure the vibration motor from below in the center of the platform, you can use the following methods:

To install engine vibration-intensifying springs, it is necessary to provide seating surfaces. Pieces of pipes are welded at the corners of the platform, into which the springs freely fit in 2–4 turns. If the frame is made of angle, the springs can be welded to it or these damping elements can be placed inside exactly the same pieces of pipes. If the frame posts are tubular, then the springs are placed in these ready-made cups.

Springs can not only be inserted inside glasses of larger diameter, but also put on pieces of smaller pipes. The length of such guides should be less than 1/3 of the size of the spring, both on the frame and on the table.

Less often, instead of springs, rope, cord or belt loops are used, from which the upper platform is suspended. However, these damping options are less reliable and increase the material consumption of the structure, since guides in the corners will have to be welded to the tabletop.

Belt suspension of the table top.

For our case of a combined table, we should use the following design:

  • tubular frame – assortment 2 x 2 cm and 2 x 4 cm;
  • table top – 3 mm sheet measuring 0.4 x 0.8 m or 0.6 x 0.8 m;
  • guides - springs are put on M12 nuts and secured by welding;
  • platform for the engine - 2 channels 4 x 8 cm (No. 8) across the frame.

Important! The vibration motor is rotated along the long side, and holes for the motor are drilled in the channels.

The length of the channel should be slightly larger than the width of the vibrator legs to ensure maintainability of bolted connections and access to the unbalance of the electric motor (within 4 cm).

It is impossible to make a vibrating table for the production of paving slabs without the main unit, which ensures vibrations of the upper platform. To do this, you can buy a ready-made vibrator or construct an eccentric unit from any existing electric motor of suitable power and size.

Factory vibrator

Taking into account the fact that the vibrating table will be upgraded into a circular table upon completion of the work, the optimal drive option is the factory “EV-98E area vibrator” for 220 V. It has amplitude adjustments, so the driving force can be set within a comfortable 1 mm. (Operating instructions for this engine)

Factory made vibration motor.

The main difficulty lies in adjusting the electric drive:

  • the disturbing force is calculated by the formula F = 3 (M1 + 0.3M2)/100, where M1 and M2 are the mass of the machine and concrete, respectively;
  • for the conditions under consideration, the disturbing force is approximately equal to 1.84 kN for forms with 6.5 kg of concrete and a countertop weight of 55 kg, and the vibrator produces a minimum of 5.6 kN, that is, 4 mm amplitude;

To reduce this force to an acceptable 0.5 - 1 mm, you must perform the following steps:

  • the unbalance plates are moved apart to the maximum distance;
  • a metal strip 2 x 6 cm is attached to one pancake (rigidly fixed on the shaft);
  • the second oval hole is enlarged with a file until the amplitude decreases within 1 mm;
  • The amplitude of the platform is measured with a pencil taped to it, the sharpened lead of which draws a curve at the moment the drive is turned on on a sheet of paper.

Approximate settings for the specified weight of the platform and forms with concrete mixture you should start with a distance between the holes of the unbalance plates of 38.5 mm.

Unbalance adjustment.

Homemade vibration drive

A primitive example of a vibration drive is a piece of reinforcement (bolt, drill) bent in a vice and clamped into an electric drill. When turning on a tool secured with a clamp and adjusting the speed, the curved edge introduces imbalance, creating vibrations.

This option is not suitable for long-term operation, because the drill bearings break, friction parts wear out, and the motor winding burns. When using a used electric motor, a circuit similar to factory vibrators is usually used:

  • one or two eccentric blocks are placed on the shaft key;
  • the amplitude is adjusted according to the above method.

Advice! Your vibrating table, made according to the given instructions, must be grounded, and an RCD must be installed in front of the extension cord to power the equipment.

Practically ready-made solution for the vibrating table frame are used tires from a car. They are connected in height with self-tapping screws through and through, the vibrator is attached to the bottom of the removable vibration platform, located inside the tire, preventing the tabletop from falling.

If paving stones are needed in small quantities, the platform can be made of laminated or bakelite plywood, OSB/chipboard. For paving large areas, you will have to use sheet metal with a thickness of 3 mm or more. The vibrator is attached to the platform according to the drawing with bolts all the way through.

The bolt heads on the front side of the platform are hidden in blind holes that can be filled with a polymer or epoxy compound. Power cable can be driven under the tires or through a hole in the tread of any of them.

For small volumes of vibration casting of shaped FEM paving elements, another technology can be used:

  • the workbench table top with the used material is installed on the tire household equipment(for example, a sharpening machine);
  • fixation of spatial geometry is carried out by pegs/pipes driven into the ground;
  • the sharpening machine is fenced off from working area with a block so that no random mortar/concrete gets on it.

Vibrating table from a grinding machine.

This will allow you to cast a curb, several paving slabs and storm drainage elements in a short time.

The vibration table can be equipped additional option sifting sand, necessary after making paving slabs before paving individual areas of the site. To do this, it is enough to cover the electric drive with a casing made of sheet material, arrange a funnel from galvanized or dense fabric at the bottom, and replace the vibrating platform with a mesh.

Additional function of sifting sand with a vibrating table.

Thus, from the considered options, you can choose the optimal design for specific conditions. For example, a collapsible vibrating table will allow the use of individual elements and assemblies at the next stages of landscaping and operation of the site.

The production of paving slabs, as well as products made of concrete, gypsum or building mixtures involves compaction of the working composition. Under the influence of vibration, the working solution fills the corner areas of the mold, acquiring increased strength and the necessary structure. To make concrete products intended for domestic use, you can make a vibrating table with your own hands. This inexpensive and easy-to-manufacture equipment is not inferior to industrial designs in terms of operating efficiency.

Let's get acquainted with the equipment - vibrating table

For machine molding of concrete products poured into special forms vibration equipment is used - a universal molding vibrating table. It is possible to make a unit with your own hands, the main thing is to understand its purpose, structure and principle of operation. The equipment is metal structure with a hinged working platform on which the poured forms are placed.

The plate makes up to three thousand vibrations per minute, which allows:

  • increase the density of the concrete mass;
  • increase strength characteristics;
  • get rid of air inclusions.

As a result of the vibration effect, the concrete structure is compacted, which has a positive effect on the quality and service life of paving slabs and other types of products.

What is the vibrating table used for?

Small-sized vibration platform, manufactured in living conditions, is designed to solve a wide range of problems:

The performance of the device is determined by the area of the working plate, as well as the intensity of vibrations.

Vibrating table - design features

The platform intended for vibration molding is a mechanism consisting of the following elements:

  • steel frame. It is a massive metal structure made of vertical posts, to which jumpers are rigidly welded;
  • work plate. It is a horizontal base with a collar along the upper contour, limiting the mobility of the forms;
  • vibration motor. When installing a motor for a vibrating table with your own hands, you need to pay attention to the mass of the eccentric that transmits vibrations to the plate;
  • movable fastening unit. It provides connection between the plate and the frame. It consists of four spring elements installed in the glasses;
  • starting machine. It performs the functions of supplying and disconnecting voltage to the vibration motor, and also protects against thermal overloads.

When deciding how to make a vibrating table yourself, you should pay attention to its performance characteristics.

What does a vibrating table consist of?

The main parameters influencing the efficiency of compaction and the quality of manufactured products:

  • amplitude of oscillatory movement;
  • vibration motor shaft rotation speed.

To ensure optimal performance, it is necessary:

  • choose the right eccentric design;
  • select a mounting location for the vibration drive;
  • equip the site with an electric motor of calculated power.

Selection optimal modes produced experimentally.

How a homemade vibrating table works

Before making a vibrating table, it is necessary to study the operating principle of the unit.

The forming device works quite simply:

Homemade vibrating table from a washing machine and industrial equipment operate according to the same algorithm.

Getting ready to make a vibration table with your own hands - materials and tools

Prepare everything you need to make your own vibration table. The drawings allow you to determine the list of materials for its construction.

We construct a homemade vibration table with our own hands - simple solutions

When planning to make a universal molding vibrating table with your own hands, you must purchase the drawings in advance or draw them yourself. It is important to decide design features vibration unit. The following types of vibration compactors are used:

  • molding equipment. Used for vibratory tamping concrete mortar, poured into molds;
  • unmolding device. Designed for removing hardened products from molds using a special device;
  • non-standard design options. Used to make a limited number of products at home.

The advantage of the simplified design is the possibility of assembly in limited time without additional cash costs using existing equipment and materials.

Scheme of a simple vibrating table with your own hands

The simplest options:

  • based on automobile ramps. To assemble the tamping device, you need 2-3 slopes, a hammer, and a wooden board, the size of which allows you to place the molds. The compaction process occurs when the molds are placed on a wooden board located on the tires. When tapped with a rubber hammer, the concrete composition is compacted;
  • using a drill or hammer drill. The design uses a slab made of metal sheet or plank board. The tabletop is placed on a horizontal base and rests against the wall with a damper made from a piece of rubber. When the hammer drill, connected to the opposite side of the base, is turned on, the material is compacted.

Other options are also possible, involving the use of an old washing machine, as well as used electric motors from household appliances.

We develop a drawing of a vibrating table

When developing a drawing for a vibrating table, you need to know how to do it correctly.

For this it is necessary:

  • use verified documentation according to which the vibration platform was previously manufactured;
  • independently develop a sketch using a working sample.
  • the optimal dimensions of the tabletop are 50x100 cm;
  • the distance from the floor to the work surface should not exceed 80 cm.

How to make a vibration table yourself

When developing a drawing, it is important to consider the following requirements:

  • the engine should not touch the base or elements of the metal structure;
  • the desktop surface is horizontal;
  • the legs of the frame must be of equal length to ensure stability;
  • Stiffening ribs are installed in the corners to increase stability.

Before developing working documentation, you must first determine the dimensions of the unit and the mounting location of the motor. It is advisable to place the vibration motor in the center of mass of the entire metal structure.

Selecting a motor for a vibrating table

Various motors can be used as a vibration source:

  • used or new motor up to 1000 watts. It is capable of transmitting vibration to a tabletop with dimensions of 0.8x1.5 m. Two eccentrics must be fixed to the drive shaft of the electric motor, the angular position of which can be changed. This will allow you to regulate the amplitude and strength of vibrations;
  • vibration motor industrial production. It must be attached to the surface of the desktop. The standard vibration motor is equipped with eccentrics installed on opposite sides of the shaft. By adjusting the relative position of the imbalances, you can change the level of vibration impact.

IN homemade version vibration drive, the motor shaft bearings are subject to increased loads under the influence of alternating vibrations. The purchased vibrator, which has an increased service life, does not have this drawback.

You can also attach a shaft on bearing supports, which has an offset center of gravity, to the lower plane of the table. Using a belt drive, the structure can be connected to the motor pulley. The level and direction of vibration in this embodiment is regulated by the position of an eccentrically fixed load.
