How to make a heart-shaped pendant from polymer clay? Pendant "heart of ice" Making the shape of the pendant

Many needlewomen who are interested in beadwork collect bead waste: crooked, disproportionate beads, broken beads, beads with too small a hole, or even glass beads or columns without a hint of a hole. Not for any benefit, but because it’s a pity to throw away such beautiful glass balls (even though they are waste). Today’s article will tell you how to use these unnecessary leftovers from Chinese beads wisely and resourcefully. How to do DIY heart pendant made from waste beads!

Great lovers of beadwork can accumulate what they need for a small heart-shaped pendant, unnecessary and useless, as everyone thought until today, glass beads in a relatively short time, because each bag of Chinese beads must contain 5-20 of these beads!

When I weave with beads, I always keep a special jar on hand for storing these beautiful balls; in 6 months I have accumulated about 2 teaspoons of them, so colorful and alluring. But for a small pendant - heart Just one teaspoon will be enough.

To make a pendant, in addition to scraps, you will need transparent varnish and a mold. It can be square, round, star-shaped, or heart-shaped (like mine).

For a simple pendant, you can use any jar (for example, cut from cosmetics), a box, a sand mold or a cookie cutter as a form. It's good if the mold has a bottom, but if you're using a cookie cutter, you'll first need to tape the bottom to it. A homemade bottom can leak, so such a mold must be installed on newspaper or polyethylene folded in several layers, so as not to damage the furniture and everything around it with leaking varnish.

We also line the inside of the mold with polyethylene so that its edges stick out. Already in order for the finished pendant to easily separate from the mold.

Before pouring the bead waste into the mold, I advise you to divide it into two parts: the main one and the most beautiful one.

First, pour the bulk of the beaded balls into a mold coated on the inside with polyethylene, level it (with a toothpick), fill it with varnish so that it covers all the beading waste and still has a layer of 1-2 mm left.

We trim it again and beautifully (you can do it figuratively and even with tweezers) on top and place the second part of the beaded balls into the varnish. The brightest and most charming, because this will be the front side of the pendant - the heart!

Now that all the remains have been leveled, all that remains is to wait for the varnish to dry completely. If the mold does leak, then when the remaining varnish has dried, you need to fill the pendant with varnish again and wait for it to dry again.
The dried pendant is easily separated from the polyethylene, here is the face and back of what I got:

Now you need braid the heart like a cabochon in any technique known to you.

I will add that in this way you can make not only pendants, but also keychains, pendants for earrings, Christmas decorations. Of course, there will be different size Your products.

If you don’t have a lot of bead waste, then you can put them only on the back and front layers in one glass ball, and make a layer between them from anything, for example, from paper, tearing it into shreds or in whole layers, coating it well every layer!

By the way, it is not at all necessary to use bead waste; you can also use a full bead mixture. You can try replacing the varnish with PVA.

And a few more words about forms. It is not necessary to use forms and then braid the product. You can provide a hole in the product already at the stage of filling with varnish. To do this, you need to insert a stick (wrapped in polyethylene to make it easier to pull out) in the place of the future hole in the pendant.

In addition, the shape can even be sculpted from plasticine! Here you won’t even need a wand, because you can sculpt whatever your heart desires and whatever comes into your head!

Well, what does your fantasy push you to do? Create!

On the eve of Valentine's Day, we suggest you make a DIY gift for your loved one. This decoration is pendant in the shape of a heart.

Now we will show you how to make this original one for lovers. We think that your other half will appreciate your gift.

For this we need:
-1mm. copper wire,
-0.3 mm. copper wire,
- beads in pink tones,
- red beads,
- red cabochon,
- pliers, round nose pliers, wire cutters.

Let's cut a piece of thick copper wire(approximately 18 cm).

Let's fold it in half to define half, make a loop on this half with round nose pliers and twist it a little (see photo).

We form the halves of the heart using a nail polish cap (or a large marker), now our part looks like a heart.

We twist the ends in different directions (see photo).

We fix the ends by wrapping the protruding parts with thin wire.
We cut off another small piece of thick wire (about 3 cm) and twist a curl out of it.

The curl should fit well into the part of the heart.

We attach the lower part of the curl to the bottom of the heart and begin to braid the upper part of the heart with the curl, adding to the thin wire.

You don’t have to repeat the location of the beads after me, but give free rein to your imagination and choose for yourself where the beads will be located.

Let's move on to the second side of the heart, we will attach a cabochon there (a cabochon was suitable for my part rectangular shape, but if another one suits you, that’s fine too). The cabochon has large holes, let's take advantage of this and go through a thin wire several times, thereby creating a small, sort of cobweb.

With her ours will become more interesting. All that remains is to bend the ends, biting off the excess wire with wire cutters and pressing down a little so that it does not prick the skin. Our pendant is ready!

By the way, I will say that you can beat the heart piece a little with a hammer, it will become a little flattened (experiment), for this you will need a hammer and an anvil (instead of an anvil, you can use the side of a large hammer). If you’re going to experiment, then do it to the end, to the finished product. pendant you can add an “aging” effect. To do this, you need to put an open bottle of ammonia in a large non-food jar and put our pendant in it, and close it with a lid. Take it out after 2 hours and sand all accessible areas, thereby highlighting the light “notes” in the pendant. If you don't want to bother with it, that's okay, I'm sure the person who receives this unique handmade heart pendant will appreciate all the warmth and love you put into it. After all, every thing made with your own hands retains the warmth of the master’s hands. Good luck in your creativity!

Step-by-step master class

Let's start working on our cute pendant.

Step 1: Roll out the clay

To make such a heart, take a piece of black clay measuring 2x2 cm and roll it into a ball. Then draw out this ball into a teardrop shape.

Step 2: Shape a Heart

Lightly press the figure between the large and index fingers. Smooth the edges a little.

To give the craft a heart shape, use a knitting needle to make notches in the upper part of it.

Step 3: Pierce the Craft

Using a thin awl, pierce the heart all the way through, starting from the middle of the top and ending with the pointed end.

Pull out the awl, then insert it into the figurine from the other end. Leave the awl in the craft for now.

Step 4: Print the stamps

Take the letter rubber stamp and press it onto one side of the heart. Press gently but firmly. Press the stamp slightly towards the edges of the figure.

Remove the stamp and check the design. If it is not clear enough, crumple the clay into a ball and start over.

WITH reverse side figures, press a stamp with a different design and also stamp it on the clay.

Step 5: Paint the Craft

Pour a small amount of dry mother-of-pearl into a plate.

Insert your finger into the paint, shake off the excess, and use a soft circular motion to lightly move it over the letter design. Rub the powder into the craft gently and without any pressure.

Continue rubbing in the paint until you have covered the entire figure, front and back.

Step 6: Insert the bead

Take a small glass bead and thin wire.

Insert the wire into the bead and twist it tightly. Use wire cutters to cut off the protruding ends of the wire. Bend the end of the twisted wire into a small hook.

To avoid catching the hole previously made with an awl, carefully insert the element into the heart on its left side.

Step 7: send for firing

Bake the figurine in the oven for the amount of time indicated on the package of clay. After firing, leave the craft to cool in the oven.

To make a similar figurine, but with texture, follow all the steps described above, right down to pressing down the stamps. Next, instead of stamps, press a flexible silicone texture in the form of a lava stone onto both sides of the heart.

Good afternoon, dear needlewomen!

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, it's time to think about gifts for your loved ones. What to give your loved one for Valentine's Day? In our last lesson we made a heart card out of paper, now we will make a heart using twine, wire and beads.

This heart-shaped craft with your own hands can be worn as a decoration - a pendant, as a keychain, or you can give such a gift to your beloved man - he will hang such a heart on the mirror in his car, it will remind him of you.

So, let's start making a heart with our own hands for Valentine's Day.

Making a craft - a heart with your own hands

To work we will need:

  • thick wire
  • twine
  • PVA glue
  • beads on fishing line or elastic thread
  • scissors
  • wire cutters

So let's begin. We bend the wire and make a heart shape out of it.

Use pliers to cut off excess wire

We tie a knot in the rope, fixing it to the wire.

We begin to wind the rope around the wire in a circular pattern, doing it as tightly as possible so that the rope does not show through.

The rope should wrap around the wire from start to finish.

Only the ends of the heart remain, we fix them again into the shape of a heart

And wrap it with rope.

It should turn out something like this, now we are already on the way to making a gift with our own hands.

Now we begin to wind the rope, crossing the entire heart in a chaotic manner.

It should look something like this.

Now we need PVA glue and a small piece of sponge in order to fix the rope on the heart.

Don't be afraid, apply thicker on the back side, the glue will become transparent when it dries.

It's the turn of the beads. We push the beads on the wire through the threads of the heart; a hook or needle will help you with this.

We start winding from the side and push through in a chaotic manner.

Like this beautiful pendant you can do it with your own hands.

Give your loved ones handmade gifts on February 14th! Valentine's Day is the time to confess your love!

We wish everyone an unforgettable Valentine's Day!
