Design of two sections of the Southern Rockade may begin before the end of the year. And the straightening of Proletarsky

Many years of work on the reconstruction of Varshavka, its part outside the Moscow Ring Road, have ended. It was a narrow road that was difficult to navigate. Today it is a full-fledged highway: backups and overpasses have been built,” Sobyanin said.

Sergei Sobyanin opened a section of the Warsaw Highway in Shcherbinka after reconstruction. The road has been widened. In addition, the main structure on this site was a 6-lane transport tunnel at the intersection with Zheleznodorozhnaya Street. It will provide comfortable, traffic-light-free traffic along the main route.

According to the plan, the reconstruction of the Warsaw Highway outside the Moscow Ring Road covers the section of the road from the designed passage 728 to the Obvodnaya road to the city of Podolsk.

On this 4 km section there will be a tunnel, a turning overpass, and six pedestrian crossings. Additionally, a backup to Varshavka will be built and the highway will be expanded.

Reconstruction of the road section is planned complete by the end of 2018.

Tunnel are being built at the intersection of Warsaw Highway and Obvodnaya Road. It will have three lanes in each direction. Tunnel length from open areas will be about 410 meters.

The tunnel is almost ready to open

“The asphalt concrete pavement has been laid, road signs and elements of the automatic de-icing system are being installed,” said A. Bochkarev.
According to him, finishing of the ramp part of the tunnel with granite and fire-resistant slabs is being completed.
The installation of a fire-resistant plate and trays for lighting cables is being completed in the tunnel. Ventilation and water equipment is being installed in the tunnel structure, and finishing is nearing completion.

Overpass across Varshavskoye Highway to Marshal Savitsky Street - the first large facility in 2018 road construction opened in Shcherbinka. It makes it easier for drivers to exit from 40 Let Oktyabrya Street towards the Moscow Ring Road and onto Marshal Savitsky Street. It has two lanes.

Marshal Savitsky Street- the main transport route for four new microdistricts of Shcherbinka. Cars drive along it from Simferopol to Warsaw highway parallel to the Moscow Ring Road. To relieve traffic tension here, a new overpass more than 600 meters long was built on Marshal Savitsky Street and traffic was organized without traffic lights along the main route of the Warsaw Highway. This will increase the capacity from the Moscow Ring Road to Mayakovsky Street and will avoid traffic congestion at the intersection of the highway with 2nd Melitopolskaya and Marshal Savitsky streets.

Transport flows have been redistributed between the main course of the Warsaw Highway and its backup. Before reconstruction, this section had two lanes in each direction. Car traffic was hampered by traffic lights, and there were no off-street pedestrian crossings.

Next news

The Southern Rockade is at the final stage of construction. Now they are still driving around it, but soon it will be possible to drive straight along it, reports a correspondent for the 360 TV channel.

The readiness of the large-scale facility is 90%, the main work on the Varshavskoye Highway has been completed, and all that is missing is an adapter (as road workers call it), which will go towards Moscow.

A very complex and important object. It is quite inconvenient for passenger traffic and transport today. As for public, personal and cargo - very difficult, cramped conditions to maintain capacity

— Petr Aksenov, First Deputy Head of the Moscow Construction Department.

Drivers treat minor traffic jams with understanding: now you have to wait a little, but then you can drive without traffic jams. On the Southern Road, three lanes in each direction - west, south-east and east of the capital - will connect to bypass the Moscow Ring Road.

The continuation of the Southern Ring Road to the southern directions of the Moscow Ring Road, in particular, at the Besedinskaya interchange, at the interchange with Lipetskaya Street, the intersection with Verkhnie Polya Street, the section of the Southern Rokade through Kantemirovskaya - will lead to the highway connecting the west and south-east and east of the city, bypassing the Moscow Ring Road

— Pyotr Aksenov, first deputy head of the Moscow construction department.

Varshavskoe and Kashirskoe highways will connect, thereby relieving both their traffic flows and Proletarsky Avenue. Traffic along the southern section of the road is planned to open in September. But then the work will continue - the second stage is next, which involves replacing the railway track. According to Pyotr Aksenov, construction is planned to continue between 2018 and 2020.

In addition, large-scale reconstruction will affect the area from Kantemirovskaya Street to Kaspiyskaya, Donetskaya Street, Verkhnie Polya, and an overpass will also appear on the Moscow River on Shosseynaya Street. It is planned to reconstruct Baltiyskaya Street, which will lead to Lipetskaya and, thus, an interchange through Verkhnie Polya and Lipetskaya will appear on the Moscow Ring Road.

The cost of the first stage of laying the overpass is 5 billion rubles, the second stage is 1.7 billion rubles. Travel on the Southern Expressway will be free, but travel on the North-East Expressway will have to be paid for.

Sobyanin opened traffic on a new overpass on Varshavskoye Highway

A new direct overpass has opened in Moscow on Varshavskoye Shosse, connecting Balaklavsky and Proletarsky Avenues. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced this while taking part in the launch of vehicular traffic on the overpass, noting that the Southern Road will become the most important road construction project in the coming years.

“In the west and south of Moscow, a large project is being implemented to build the Southern Road, which will run from Rublyovka to Kapotnya. The first half of this project has been implemented: Rublevka, Aminevskoye and Obruchevskoye highways, Balaklavsky Avenue have been reconstructed. And the Southern Rockade came to Varshavka. A forward overpass was built. This way, from Balaklava Avenue it will be more comfortable to enter Varshavka from one side and from the other. Varshavka, of course, will go better in this place. So, I hope that motorists on Monday on this section will drive with

The construction of the overpass was carried out as part of the construction of the second section of the Southern Road from Balaklavsky to Proletarsky Avenues. Construction readiness on this site is currently 75%. Completion of work is scheduled for the third quarter of 2018.

A direct overpass with a length of 845 m with 3 lanes in each direction was built at the intersection of Varshavskoe Highway with Balaklavsky Prospekt in 24 months: September 2015 - September 2017. It ensures traffic-free transit traffic along Varshavskoe Highway. The exits to Balaklavsky Avenue and the section of the Southern Road under construction will be organized using alternate routes and in the underpass space.

The Southern Rokada is one of three new chord highways in Moscow - along with the North-Western and North-East chords. According to Sergei Sobyanin, the construction of sections of the Southern Rokada in the south and south-east of Moscow will become the most important road construction project in Moscow in the coming years.
