The name “Lazy cabbage rolls” seems to me somewhat untrue, because the housewife who cooks them cannot be called lazy. Despite the fact that these cabbage rolls are prepared faster and easier than, for example, nevertheless, here you still need to perform a series of various operations, namely: chop and simmer the cabbage, boil the rice, sauté the onions and carrots, make cutlets from the prepared mass, etc. .d.

The result will please you. For example, I often like these cabbage rolls even more than traditional ones. That's why I'm telling you today how to make lazy cabbage rolls. And you can make them in the oven, in a slow cooker, in a saucepan. The simplest option, in my opinion, is lazy cabbage rolls in a frying pan.

Well, let's get started. I took ready-made minced meat - pork with the addition of onions and garlic.

Finely chop the cabbage. If you do this with a special knife, the cabbage will be cut thinner, which is what we need for our cabbage rolls.

Place the cabbage in a saucepan, add water and place on the fire to boil for a few minutes. We don't need to cook the cabbage until tender or half cooked. We just need to simmer it in boiling water for a few minutes to make it softer. After this, salt the water and squeeze out the cabbage.

At the same time, chop the onions and carrots and fry them in vegetable oil.

Boil the rice in advance in salted water until half cooked and take 4-5 tablespoons for cabbage rolls. Wash and add to cabbage.

Let's also add minced meat, sautéed onions and carrots, ground black pepper, and perhaps some other spices or seasonings.

Mix the mass. Now we have collected all the components that make up traditional cabbage rolls, except for the tomato and sour cream filling. Her turn will come later.

Form the mixture into palm-sized cutlets and roll in flour.

Place the lazy cabbage rolls in a frying pan with vegetable oil and fry over medium heat on both sides.

Add sour cream to tomato paste.

Add tomato filling with sour cream to the cabbage rolls, add water so that our cutlets are almost completely immersed in liquid. Add some salt and set to simmer on low heat, covered, for 1 hour.

During the cooking process, the liquid is boiled down, and we immediately get both the cabbage rolls and the gravy for them.

Lazy cabbage rolls in a frying pan are ready. Eat them immediately before they cool down.

  • Long grain rice is better;
  • beef stew;
  • onions;
  • The cabbage in our recipe is not fresh, but pickled;

Cooking sequence:

  1. Diced onions are fried in vegetable oil or fat.

In addition to tomato and sour cream, tomato and sour cream sauce is perfect for lazy cabbage rolls

28 August 2017, 15:59

We suggest preparing lazy ones. The composition of the dish is almost the same as in the traditional version, but the cooking method is much easier. In this case, the minced meat is not wrapped in cabbage leaves, but is immediately mixed with boiled shredded cabbage and other ingredients. From the resulting mass, cutlets are formed, which are baked in tomato-sour cream sauce. The dish turns out aromatic, juicy and in no way inferior to its classic counterpart.

Lazy cabbage rolls in the oven have another significant advantage over traditional ones. The fact is that many children do not like stewed cabbage leaves - they open them and eat only the meat filling. There is no need to unwrap anything here - the cabbage is cut into small pieces and it is almost invisible in the cutlets, which completely satisfies the “little whims”.

Ingredients:

  • minced meat (pork + beef) - 500 g;
  • rice - 60 g;
  • cabbage - 400 g;
  • onion - 1 head;
  • dill - 3-4 sprigs;
  • salt, pepper - to taste;
  • flour (for breading) - 4-5 tbsp. spoon;
  • vegetable oil - 30-50 ml.

For the sauce:

  • sour cream - 200 g;
  • tomato paste - 5 tbsp. spoon;
  • salt - to taste.
